You know something interesting occurred to me today. It seems to me the DC Old Boy's Club follows a calculated program of keeping their political bases at each other's throats in order to divide and conquer. They keep half the population so angry and afraid of the other side that they will vote for anything to keep "them other guys" out of power.

I think the person who can best redirect that angst at THOSE GUYS in DC will win in 2008. That may be the edge someone like Duncan Hunter's needs to exploit. The Democrats are doing it all wrong. They want to say "we are from the Government, we are here to save you". Most of the current Republican leadership seems to be saying "We want to save you too". There is a gap here for some one to slide into saying "Don't be fooled, they ARE the problem."

I just got through e-mailing EC similar comments. Seems the congress critters go in somewhat pure and 12 years later you can't tell one from another. They all become generic critters representing themselves more than anyone else. It's sad.
Problem is a third party would probably morph into the same thing if it were to be successful.

Hate to tell you all this but that sort of hyper emotive reotric makes people simply snap off their radios and think "what a bunch of utter tin foil hat wearing wack jobs". I

t may make the screamer saying it feel all macho tough guy cool in a sort of Junior High School teen angst perpetual virgin sort of way but it simply makes them all sound like a bunch of hysteric, out of control lunatics.

If the Antis want to be taken seriously they better interject a whole lot more reason and thought, and a LOT less hyper hysteric rhetoric, into their discourse. People who MIGHT otherwise listen and take the Antis seriously simply are being alienated by this constant flow of hyper emotive rhetoric flowing out of the Antis mouths.

Conservatives are largely conservative because they THINK, not feel, their politics. The only difference between the Hysteric Left and the Hard Right is what targets they direct their overly emotional rhetoric at. IF the Antis want to be anything more then a fringe movement preaching uselessly the same mindless drivel over and over and over at a mere handful of politically irrelevent true believers, they better calm down, grown up and learn to think really soon.

At least part of the answer is the New MEDIA. We need to keep on keeping on with what we are doing here on FR,the Internet,FNC, others a few papers and what we do on talk radio. The msm/dbm ignores us less now and congress critters will soon follow in lock step. As long as we keep pointing out the error of their ways sooner or later they will respond.
