I wouldn't do that on any public transportation. You will end up thrown off or in jail.

But it is funny. lol

"Compare that to MILLIONS who will certainly die (as with HItler) if we don't."

Iran's global jihad clock is ticking - and so is ours, for total Victory over the enemy of mankind.

Wow! You do not like the Shah. Nor many facts that contradict what you have said. Though I tend to agree with the dynasty part. But then, the Qajar dynasty stems from a slave. So? Is that your preference or are you a pro-Mossadegh person?

If so do you not acknowledge his huge faults? His selling Iran to the Soviets? I really don't care what is in Wiki. I happen to know facts from being on the ground there.

How old are you? Old enough to have been there?

No offense, just a search into your access to first hand knowledge rather than that from a political or philosophical group's point of view which makes sense to you. This includes some former CIA and other intel agencies people's opinions under the Carter administrationj.

Again, no offense intended, just an evaluation to see why you so hate a man who did so much for Iran.

In fact, if you read Farsi, go to http://www.antimullah.com and to the Multilingual link in the left hand column and read the balanced article (at the top or second one down) about a comparison of the Shah and what followed. (Also available in English on the site - possibly easily found on the "Archive Details" page link in the left column.

And how the Tudeh (Communist Party of Iran) or even less extreme Mossadegh's "Jephe Melli" people let the country down when they allied themselves with the Mullahs and the Mullah revolution.

Mostly because the Soviets rather than the Mullahs originated and conducted it, only to lose it when the only national network still standing were the mosques. So the Mullahs snatched the morsel out of Soviet and MEK and Jephe Melli and similar "leftist" or secular organizations' mouth.

Somewhat like the Democrats are doing to the USA today by cutting off their nose to spite their face and attack Bush - with or without good reason and without much thought to consequnces.

The Shah's weakness - also like the USA - is that he refused to have bloodshed in the streets to protect his throne.

Somewhere I heard...Daniel Pipes on Foxnews yesterday I think....that 80% of the mosques are of the Wahabbi variety....not friends of the Iranians....

Really struggling to figure out just where this is happenning...since we have yet to see an adequate map on this thread...

I did find this :

ISFAHAN

***************************************

**************************************EXCERPT*****************************8

Covering an area of 105,937 square kilometers, isfahan province is located in the central part of Iran. according to the latest divisions of the country, Isfahan province includes 17 townships which are: Isfahan, Ardestan, Barkhar and Maymeh, Khomaini-Shahr, khansar, Semirom, Shahreza (Ghomsheh), Faridan, Freydoon-Shahr, Falavarjan, Kashan, Golpayehgan, Lanjan, Mobarakeh, Na’een, Nadjafabad and Natanz. Isfahan, being the capital city of the province, is the most populated city of the province. The population of the province in 1996 was 3,223,255 of which 74.3% were urban dwellers and 25.7% were living in rural areas. Locating in the central part of Iran plateau, Isfahan province, due to its vastness, consists of several mountainous and plain areas. These are: Ardestan mountainous area; north-east and east mountainous area which Natanz city is located on its slope; western mountainous area encompassing Faridan and Freydoon-Shahr townships; and plain area which has come into existence from alluviums of Zayandeh Rood river and includes south-east of Isfahan. Regarding the above natural and topographical situation, the climate of the province is changeable as well. although the province generally enjoys a dry and temperate climate, but it can be classified as three climatic regions depending on the distance with western mountainous area and desert (Kavir) plain in the east and south-east. These climatic regions are: arid, including Na’een, Biabanak and Anarak to the north of Ardestan; semi-arid consisting Isfahan township; and semi-humid and cold encompassing west and south-west of the province.

Because there are drugs passing through the tribal regions does not negate everything but drugs for the clashes. Those are the official Islamic Regime explantaions and talking points. Which you try to "impose"?

The tribal leaders mentioned are not in the drug trade, though some Baluchis might be.

You quote indicators that drugs do travel through Iran - in reality mostly to Kurdish borders and then Turkey and then Europe.

There are drugs travelling around in Washington DC, so every police action is against drugs? Every Senator or Congressman is involved with drugs?

You quote information relative to your chosen position - which is exactly that of the Islamic Regime but does not cover the situation except as you wish to present it.

I was hearing the same thing from Islamic Regime people last night, who tried to downplay the tribal clashes. These may not be a huge thing but they are NOT repeat NOT drug related as you try to portray in defense of the Regime.

You must realize that AntiMullah.com has contacts within Iran, including in fact with dissenters in MOIS Ministry of Information and Security (VEVAK in Persian).

You can disinform less knowledgeable Americans but don't cut ice with your "all drug" stance. Not so, friend. Not even so with MOIS people speaking off the record - except as their public presentation.

Heavy ground battles between the tribal fighters and Islamic Regime forces reportedly resulted in heavy casualties left behind by the government troops. Specially at a point around Yassooj and in the Province of Fars which was labeled the Red Line which was not to crossed by the Regime forces.

SHIRAZ

Welcome to Shiraz, the present-day capital of Fars Province, and the heartland of Iran, which gave its name to the Persian language: Farsi. Welcome to Shiraz, the city of historic monuments, poets and philosophers, warriors and kings, orchards, orangeries, roses, Adonises and fragrant blossoms, in southern Iran. Nearly 8-km long uninterrupted rose gardens are what you will see on both sides of a highway to the same length connecting the Shiraz Airport to outskirts of the town. Shiraz is located in an altitude of 1,600 m, and 895 km to the south of Tehran, being accessible both by road and an airport for domestic and local flights.

***************************************

Now on the big map from post #15:

******************************

*****************

We see SHIRAZ inland from the persian Gulf and between Tehran and the Dohar and directly above the Straits of Hormuz....very interesting location for an insurection.....hmmmm...indeed/.

Breaking my promise but never mind.

Yes, they are mostly Wahabbi and though not directly friendly to Iran's Regime, they send the blood of their victims into the same channel as Iran does and intends to go on doing. Specially American blood wherever they find it.

I am waiting for a CD which lists ALL the mosques in the USA. About 400 printed pages long, list. So you can imagine the harm being done to us. Unopposed by our government which even issues religious visas to the Imams who arrive to perpetuate this. Of whatever ilk they may be.

Actually the mosques take anyone who comes through the doors but will not let him/her into their very inner circles, which does not prevent Iran's Shias also operating to find willing suicide bombers inside those mosques, too.

Just off a comment on http://www.antimullah.com

Just this morning I had a phone conversation with some people inside the city of Esfahan itself. Obviously they couldn't say very much since phone calls to/from the outside world are monitored by the regime. The only thing they could tell me was that clashes have also take place within the city itself, including gun fire. They also said: "Please pray for us!"

Hello wtc911, also purely drug related?!!!

Get a grip. Or perhaps filter out the Islamic Regime talking points so you don't try to impose them incorrrectly on the more innocent of us.

I like your thinking. Paybacks are hell.

You put words in my mouth, no surprise.

All your obfuscation doesn't change the facts of 1953. Nobody has to take my word for it or yours. Search Operation Ajax and anyone can read for himself what we had to do to get the shah to go along with the coup that put him in power and what our agents thought of him as a person. It's an ugly picture, one you wish you could erase, but facts are facts.

With all due respect, then was then and now is now. What we did in the 50s in Iran was in light of possible Soviet moves. Today it is religious fanaticism. The relevance of history is to assess probabilities and risks of today. The key in the current situation is to identify fissures within the central powerbase and exploit them while loading up to eliminate the technology basis of the threat.

Just in as I wrote the my response to wtc911 from
http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/news/1778484/posts?page=177

PRIZE-WINNING Iranian nuclear scientist has died in mysterious circumstances, according to Radio Farda, which is funded by the US State Department and broadcasts to Iran. An intelligence source suggested that Ardeshire Hassanpour, 44, a nuclear physicist, had been assassinated by Mossad, the Israeli security service. Hassanpour worked at a plant in Isfahan where uranium hexafluoride gas is produced. The gas is needed to enrich uranium in another plant at Natanz which has become the focus of concerns that Iran may be developing nuclear weapons.

Apparently the Israeliis are reading my emails!! All those nuke scientists in Iran better buy life insurance. Israeliis have put their finger on the soft spot.
