My wife is Mexican but could be easily mistaken for Middle Eastern. She takes frequent flights due to her occupation and on occasion these are on short notice and one way. She is very often pulled out of line for a complete search of her luggage etc. She does not like this but understands. Her attitude is the extra hassle is worth it. She want to arrive at her destination instead of being dead.
There is not anything wrong with profiling by race, religion, or ethnic background. I have yet to hear about a terrorist Quaker or Mennonite cell.

My standard reply is- I don't distrust and consider all Muslims my enemy. Only the breathing ones.
The situation has a solution, but with all the internal resistance to every action the only hope is that the fascist somatotonia will give up before they actually do anything.
