Yes.
Do you remember the Senate "trial" of William Jefferson Clinton? We had a majority then. Were you proud of a single one of them?
Do you know whom the great Republicans put up for me to vote for in the most recent election? Hint one INTRODUCED AND SPONSORED our State's no smoking virtually anywhere legislation when he was in our State Senate, and the other is the other get-along-go-along Republican who SUPPORTED legislation to make it difficult for me to play poker on-line, should I ever decide I want to. And our President signed this legislation, in between bouts of "Nation Building" (which he campaigned vigorously against) and caving to illegal immigrants.

What?
We had a majority of Democrats and Rinos in the Senate.
It doesn't logical follow that the majority of Republicans weren't conservative and most voted for a full trial and most voted for conviction.
Take the time, check the individual voting records and do the math.
Your statement above is -- recklessly wrong. There's no other way to put it.
And our President signed this legislation, in between bouts of "Nation Building" (which he campaigned vigorously against) and caving to illegal immigrants.
Do you understand that we lost 25 pro HR4437 Conservative Republicans in the House last election. These are 25 Republican House members who stood up to the President on illegal immigration.
It was a miraculous thing to have politicians do that. It was a good thing.
So what do the voters do? They toss these 25 good pro HR4437 seats to Democrats.
Those actions will have consequences for a long, long time.
