Who takes their kids to the doctor over chicken pox? Everybody I know got through it with a bottle of Calamine lotion or Caladryl, some aspirin, and coloring books or video games. I don't know anyone who went to a doctor, or got a vaccination against it. And yet, we all survived.

Im probably going to be called a conspiracy theorist over this one. So IMHU. . .
The chicken pox Vaccine is/was advocated under the guise of scars, time lost from school, etc. When a child has the CP he/she is incredibly contagious and the parent HAS to take time from work. There are no two ways about it. We wouldnt want time taken from work, now would we.

Nobody. But I guess you just can't trust parents judgement because they're not *trained* medical porfessionals. ( Kind of like paretns aren't capable of educating their own children because theeeey're not trianed educators)
Oatmeal baths worked wonders. I stuck some oatmeal in an old stocking and threw it in the warm, NOT HOT, bathwater and it worked wonders. And the kids loved it.
