I haven't heard this mentioned much and I am surprised, but during the Al Gore campaign (either that one or early in the Kerry one) Hillary told a group of supporters, "When you elect us we will take things from you and raise your taxes." Doesn't anyone else remember this?? There should be a clip of it somewhere.
