Regarding the plane windshields...

This may sound odd, but could a high-pitched tone directed right at the planes or a certain vibration from a plane going overhead -- could either of these possibilities be accurate? Or could it be temperature-related?

If all else fails, blame Bush -- that's using the "easy button."
