It was probably the right thing to do. The position of Chaplain is to be non-partisan and the event probably wasn't fully appreciated by the Chaplain.

There's nothing wrong with posing with Ann Coulter, though. I'd pay a dollar for that!

Given the fact that politicians do not have souls [they have to turn them in when embarking on a political career], the Senate does not need a chaplain.

What a fool...he is supposed to represent all faiths? He would never get away with that in the Army chaplaincy. Strict guidelines were clear we represented our own denominations. If we didn't, and became, as the Senate Chaplain has, generic, we were endanger then of fostering a generic, military denomination...a violation of the establishment clause.

Seems to me Rev Black has blown it!
