At a school I attended,a prominent professor had serial affairs with his female research assistants and the wives of his research assistants. Broke up marriages, sometimes briefly married the women. Always worked the researchers to death and lorded over them.
My observation is they do these things because they are users and they get their kicks this way. Pretty low.
