He would have lost. He couldn't have even won in 2000, when she was relatively unpopular and he was enormously popular as mayor of the City of New York. In 2006, she had 70% approval ratings and $35,000,000 in the bank. She would have trounced Rudy or any candidate.
Rudy would not have lost...as it was she beat the hapless Lazio 54-46 while Gore beat Bush 66-33...
I can see the GOP is headed for a defeat of historical proportions in 2008 thanks to the purists....if both McCain and Rmoney are acceptable to Ann Coulter but unacceptable to FR, well it says quite a bit about what FR has become.
