As for the demographic changes Morris mentions, teh Black population is not forecast to rise as a % of the population though the year 2050, but actually fall from 12% today to about 10% in 2050.....Black women have fertility rates that are about at replacement 2.0

The Census Bureau predicts the black population will increase from 36 to 61 million between 2000 and 2050.

I remember a few years ago there were articles and discussions about whether the Democratic party had become irrelevant and could ever win another election. As Yogi said, "It's tough to make predictions, especially about the future".

With the illegal alien amnesty and the shift of gentrified suburbs to the Democrats, we're probably not going to see any more Republican Presidents in this country after 2012.

Guess that sets OK with our current president. And RUSH told you all that he was a conservative. And people like me got arrows thrown at us all the while Teddy is writing the education bill & Norm Minetta wouldn't allow profiling.

The money in Hillary's war chest cannot buy the Presidency but the behind the scenes moguls with their limitless financial resources and international power can do so. She can be stopped if we have a strong candidate who will likewise get support beyond federal campaign limits. I pray that there are American patriots with the same resources as our anti American enemies and who are as dedicated to the preservation of this Republic and the freedom of all of us as Hillary's backers are to the destruction of our great country.

This is why no true conservative gets off the ground. Those moguls ala elites will not allow it. That is why I have stated since GW was elected that no true conservative Supreme Court will be enacted by the time GW leaves. GW was even a part of that with Harriet Meirs. If we want our views as conservative we must not support any RINOs & leave this corrupt "Two-Party Cartel".

...al least until "this country" becomes "these countries".

Perhaps Dick is correct about 25% of the time but consider that he is a realist (don't laugh)! That is to say he speaks on what is happening NOW. Situation changes, and he will change his mind!

Depends on what is happening at any given moment! Remember he is a poll-driven guy and the changing wind directions.

Repub. party is abandoning its base. The truly conservative & libertarian members are tired of RINOs, and just need a good solid independent to run after.

Don't dismiss those who increasingly talk of voting third-party. The Republican party used to be the "third party" too; we don't hear much about the Whigs anymore, do we?

It seems as though the indoctrination process of being raised by vegetarian tree huggers and going to socialist leaning colleges tends to take many years to break down.

Only when they see their paychecks being spoiled away on useless causes do they tend to start thinking maybe their parents or "educators" were not objective.

For some that is to much to confront.

Don't get too excited. He will change his mind three to four times before the 2008 election end of the month.

Fixed. :)

We probably have a basic disagreement over the definition of 'true conservative'. Is there a litmus test that allows for divergence of opinion where one who has, in general, conservative views, can veer off the path on one or more issues? I consider myself a conservative, but conservatism is not my religion. There has to be a give and take in a political party or it will self destruct. President George Bush was elected by millions of voters, many of whom do not agree with others in the Republican party. He does the best he can to fulfill his duty as President, and he is entitled to his own opinions and beliefs as well as that of the voters. He gave us SCJ John Roberts and Samuel Alito, outstanding jurists, and the fact that there has been no other vacancy for him to fill is hardly a failing on his part. I supported Harriet Miers, and would do so again. The campaign against allowing her to have a hearing and a vote was shameful to say the least. What did the self appointed conservative elitistst fear if she was as unqualified professionally and conservatively as they shouted? That was one 'true conservative' demonstration that shed a big light on the purity of the motives of the 'true conservatives'.

Hillary will be ‘worst president we’ve ever seen’

If she is going to achieve that goal (and I`m sure that`s her goal), she would first have to be elected, do worse than Carter, and support enemies of the US for the next 27 years like Carter. Only THEN can she claim the throne.

Can't see Edwards winning. The Breck Girl has no substance, plus as a FORMER senator he doesn't have a strong platform to campaign from. Of course, senators don't have a good track record in presidential elections.

Why take a shot at Rush? I don't vote for someone just because he tells me to. I weigh the choices carefully and vote for the person who most closely represents my views. In the last two elections, that person was George W. Bush. President Bush is not perfect, but not too many of us are. He has made some decisions I don't necessarily agree with, but I don't regret my votes or support of his campaigns one bit. Would you rather have a President Gore or a President Kerry?

All of this assumes Hillary can beat the GOP nominee. A lot has to happen between now and 2009 before we know who will be our next President. Look at what happened to Howard Dean. He seemed at one point unstoppable and then there came the scream in Iowa that finished him off.

Oh, i agree 100%. Look at how Bill Clinton came out of the woodwork. Nobody had heard of him or thought he had a chance. Someone will rise up out of the GOP. Of course, electorally speaking these last couple Presidential elections have been so close and breaking only on the outcome of a few states such as Ohio and PA. There's not much we voters can do about that. States already know where their electoral votes will go. For instance, if Hillary is the RAT candidate she gets all those California electoral votes. All she has to do is work a couple of those "undecided" states and she's got it sewn up. If she's the RAT candidate...
