It was bad enough when cartoons caused rioting in Muslim countries. As a native Bostonian, I am embarrassed at the level of hysteria caused by cartoons in my home city.
In an effort to promote a late night Cartoon Network show called Aqua Teen Hunger Force, Turner Broadcasting hired some guerilla marketers to attach magnetic boxes with the lighted image of one of the characters on several locations around the city of Boston.
Now I dont know much about making terror bombs, but city officials were notified and later considered the boxes dangerous. Have any of us ever heard of a bomb with the lighted image of a mooninite on it? Was there any reason that cable news stations spent the whole afternoon on a non-story?
Is Boston that stupid?

Do we have to answer that question?
:-)
Well, they do root for the Red Sox after all...
Uh, John Kerry and Ted Kennedy represent that area. You tell me? LOL!
.....and elected Kennedy and Kerry.
QED!!!
Don't give bad guys any ideas. Following your logic ["Have any of us ever heard of a bomb with the lighted image of a mooninite on it?"], they will start decorating their bombs with cartoon characters.
They elect Kerry, Franks, and anyone who has ever been or will be a Kennedy. This doesn't even show up in the first page on the stupid list.
I'm from Boston and i'm packing my bags as I type!! I should be out of the Zone in a couple of hours....If I'm lucky.
Big screen debut on March 23rd!

Gentleman, BEHOLD!
"Is Boston that stupid?"
Does Boston ship Liquified Natural Gas through the channel every day?
Is it impossible that terrorists will consider Boston as a number one target one day?
Is it impossible that they might consider using cartoon or 'cultural' icons to set off a series of bombs in a major US city?
Is it possible?
IT SURE AS HELL IS NOW!!
Thanks Turner Broadcasting!!
"You know Happy Time Harry, just being around you makes me all depressed."
AAAHHHH!!!! Yes, home of the "BIG DIG".
Sue Turner Broadcasting?
heh
I lived in Massachusetts for two years in the '80's. The Boston Herald stayed in business just covering how negligent, corrupt, wasteful, laughable and stupid were state and municipal government and the clowns and crooks in the public sector. But at least half the citizens I met seemed pretty bright.
Frylock's my favorite!
Seems that Boston leaders are a few fries short of a happy meal.
Added to my "must see" list (which now consists of, well, just that).
