Almost certainly the goal of this campaign was to get teenagers to take phone-cam pics of the dumb glowing graphics and post them online. That's all. Nobody ever made threats and the things do not look like bombs. Nobody cried wolf. Big name companies--Sony, Microsoft--have tried viral marketing.
