I bet his mom had other expressions about "the black folk".
I think his home has it in its deed that it can not be resold to a black person. I swear that I heard this a few years ago.

Can anyone confirm this?

It was quite common (years ago) for deeds to prohibit sale to members of the "Negro Race" as well as members of the "Hebrew Race".

You can no longer get such clauses enforced in court so they are meaningless.

Joe doesn't date white girls either (just to be on the safe side).

Could well be --- any homes in nicer "older" neighboohoods most anywhere in the country had those clauses in the original deeds. They are called "restrictive covenants" and are totally meaningless and unenforceable today and have been since the 1950s.
