Given that Malaki just announced that he doesn't want Iraq to be a platform from which the U.S. can attack Iran, I wouldn't get too excited over this.

saw that piece earlier, I hear ya, Thanks for posting.
Is there a day that doesn't go by , at least since 9/11, where the spark might happen. The sad truth, 'they' have been at war with us for years. We're finally fighting back.. and that's a good thing.
.. and that's my 'analysis'. :-)

Well, since the President mentioned it, the media traitors are finally talking about Iran again. For quite some time, the journalist traitors propagandized to keep the discussion restricted to Iraq and dishonestly criticized our President.

"Even if Iran pulled back from Iraq's conflict, it might not end the country's violence, said Kenneth M. Pollack, research director at the Saban Center for Middle East Policy.
"The truth is that Iraq is a mess. It is in a state of low-level civil war. And all of these groups are largely self-motivated," he said on the Council on Foreign Relations Web site. "But its much easier to blame it on the Iranians."
I would say this comment borders on the "low level" of BARF ALERT...
"Even if the Iranians pull back..."
So it appears that some are admitting that Iran is actively engaged and allied with the insurgency and causing problems...
I would be pleasantly surprised if something were to actually be done to answer this act of war on the part of the Iranian government...
I find it hard to believe this can be ignored anymore, and not be at the very least addressed by our government...A selective strike on known sites that provide support for this Iranian activity (IN IRAN) would be refreshing...
Maybe thats why we are stepping up our Naval Air presense...They could probably launch right now and be back on deck before dinner...But that would just be too much of a fantasy...

I think we are asking Iraq to step up diplomatically and get Iran out. If we expect any success in getting Iran out of Iraq's government, that really is the only practical way.

So if Iran preemptively nukes Israel, the drive by media has already laid the foundation for their excuse.
It's Bush's fault!

I'm actually getting tired of getting stuff like this being mentioned to us...I don;t need to be spoon fed anymore...
Time to hit them hard and fast, and let that be that...If they want to play some more, then they are certainly free to do so with what we leave them...
Otherwise, Iran should be dealt with decisively, and to hell with what the rest of the world thinks...

Malicki is gonna get some pressure to do more than just say Iraq shouldn't be a battleground....the Iranians are deliberately targeting our soldiers....

Let's get it on already, it has to happen sooner or later, every day we don't carpet bomb this country it comes closer to acquiring nuclear technology, once the genie is out of the bottle with these folks it will REALLY be out of the bottle.

The Left is already setting it up to blame Bush if we go to war with Iran, even though it will be Iran's fault if we do.
To: stevie_d_64
The biggest problem the U.S. has faced in Iraq has been Sunni insurgents, not Shi'ites. I don't think Iran would have any interest in supporting Sunni militant groups.
I tend to think Mr. Pollack is right about this.
