What I think bothers the both of us is the guy who rides one or two days a month (and only during the warm months!) but has every type of appearal gear available. For him, riding is about putting on a costume and being in a parade on weekends.

hey.. those are the regulars at my bar! bunch of road king owners that spent a couple grand extra to "customize" their bikes before they left the lot. they goto bike week with the bikes on trailers.
otoh, their friends that ride hondas, they ride almost daily, and ride the whole way to daytona (from MI).

Hey, I truck my bike to Myrtle beach twice a year for the bike rallies.

Granted, I am pulling a popup camper and about 5000pounds of luggage for Hottiegirl.

If it was just me, I would ride a bike down there with nothing but a change of drawers. But we make a camping event out of the week.

I have made the ride many times. At this point, I like to take the camper and I don't want to risk a broken chain or a flat tire out in the middle of nowhere...
