Nailed It!
This ping list is not author-specific for articles I'd like to share. Some for the perfect moral clarity, some for provocative thoughts; or simply interesting articles I'd hate to miss myself. (I don't have to agree with the author all 100% to feel the need to share an article.) I will try not to abuse the ping list and not to annoy you too much, but on some days there is more of the good stuff that is worthy of attention. You can see the list of articles I pinged to lately on my page.
You are welcome in or out, just freepmail me (and note which PING list you are talking about). Besides this one, I keep 2 separate PING lists for my favorite authors Victor Davis Hanson and Orson Scott Card.

Newt's my choice and Rudy can be his veep! Newt is a futurist with a foundation in history which is a must in today's world.
Truman's memoirs included an appreciation of the need for histororical appreciation in order to lead our great land.

Newt's a great thinker and philosopher -- a historian and intellectual. I don't think he'd make it in the general election. I'd like to see him sign up as Rudy's Karl Rove. I think they'd make a great team and a great administration.

Newt can say what he likes, but I would never vote for the tubby little hall monitor.

He is my choice too. He has some personal history/baggage that I have never seen a satisfactory explanation that he or anybody else gives (and he will be attacked on that for sure). My problem is that I can't expect ANY politician to be clean enough to be kosher. So, if I have to overlook somebodies problems anyway, I choose him.

Nope. I haven't heard Hannity in a while.
It's good that Newt takes Missus Clinton seriously. She's seriously dangerous and not to be underestimated

Newt says we have to beat her because she's not going to beat herself.
Guess he hasn't heard all her flip flopping statements. She makes jon carry seem absolutely decisive.
She has nothing to offer but change itself. As in changing her mind every other week.

I watched her Iowa event on CSPAN.
I'll sum up her platform as I've seen presented so far
1. I'm a woman, vote for me sisters
2. China and India are big threats - this goes straight to middleclass econmic concerns.
3. Experience. Eight years as co-president.
In short she hopes to capitalize on the woman vote, the blue collar vote, and those who warmly remember the Clinton fake economy.
Add these to the 90% of the black vote that is automatic and you are at atleast 48% of the vote.
I can't think of a single state she'll lose that Kerry won.
So ya, I agree with Newt in regards to the Clintonian threat. Wish I was listening to Hannity right now.

No matter what we want, the fact is that the Presidential campaigning begins now, and anyone not raising enough $$$ isn't going to be able to compete. So, yes, we the American people shoot ourselves in the foot again.
But at least things are consistent...Americans also now want a King, not a President. (Emperor Bush went too far, though. :-)
