There was a case here in Kentucky a few years back where a sheriff was running for reelection and his opponent teamed up with a local drug dealer to assassinate him. While the gunman did succeed in killing the sheriff, he was quickly apprehended and led police to his co-conspirators, all of whom are now serving life sentences.

Did you see that the deputy that was killed his father was murdered in 1980? This is such a sad and tragic story.
