So typical of Bush. He offends people when he doesn't mean to, through carelessness. And he almost never deliberately goes after them when he should. A truly skilled politician doesn't offend people unless he MEANS to. I would like to see more intentional offenses from the president, and no more unintentional ones. God, he is a second-rate communicator.
Hey... I think you're onto something there...
FROM NOW ON, that party shall be known as:
The Democratick Party.
Members shall be known as Democraticks.
Democratick.
I like it. I rolls off the tongue nicely.
SO LET IT BE WRITTEN. SO LET IT BE DONE.
:-)
I think he communicates just what he means to.
A powerful orator? Only on occasion. But as far as saying what he means to... almost always.
It's about time he STARTS insulting them, on a factual basis of course.
They insult him on a daily basis, start fighting back already, your "new tone" in Washington isn't working, they stab you in the back at every opportunity.
I agree. But he doesn't get it across effectively. Also, he doesn't "mean" enough.
At this point, it doesn't matter. What matters is what he DOES.
He's not running for office. He doesn't really have to convince congress of anything. The democratick mind is made up, nomatter how forceful the argument FOR America and AGAINST the Democraticks. They're invested in his failure, America be damned, and it doesn't matter how well or badly he says anything.
What matters is his resolute nature for these last couple of years of his term. I think he's going to stick to his guns and do what he knows needs doing. Beyond that, it only matters that the NEXT President carries the battle to the enemy with such fervor. If he can speechify splendidly about it, so much the better.
But we're in a time of action, not words.
Someone please tell the Dimocrats that when Republicans want to insult them, there will be no room for doubt that we have done so?
President Bush used the correct grammar. Both the Republican and the Democratic political parties are democratic.
A member of the Republican Party is a Republican and a member of the Democratic political party is a Democrat. I see no reason to fault President Bush because the superior educated Democrats didn't exercise correct grammar when naming their party.
Members of the Democratic Party are the majority in both houses of congress and still the Democrats find reasons to complain.
i grew up saying it myself in the South. perhaps it irritates them now because they've lost the Southern vote!
Bush has very little ability to act except in foreign policy at this point. One thing he can still do is influence the public mind (inspiring his supporters, and getting a few in the middle to think). In particular, he should raise the profile of issues that favor conservatives and make liberals look bad. And that requires "speechifying." One reason the liberals beat our pants off is that they "speechify" all the time.
This is hilarious!! www.democrats.org is the official website of the DNC!! Please, everyone E-mail this to Tony Snow for his reference and to let the President know about the Democrats' idiocy. They are dumber than Rocks.

I did not write this. . .because I know how to spell 'pitiful' for starters; and that 'get' should be 'gets' and I know here 'here'. . .is really, hear. . .anyway; nuff said. :^#
Good one; like the sound of that as well. . .
Wow? Only in the Pariah States of America could this slander happen!!!!! Yeeeeeeeeeeeeaaaaaarggggghhhhhhhhhhhhhh!!!!!!!
Don't ya just love them coordinated democrats from the democRAT party?????
"Republicans for years have dropped the last two letters of the name as a slight to the party."
That is untrue. They never were the "Democratic Party". Try to remember your last ballot. It has only been recently that they have embedded this little piece of propoganda in the people's minds. First it was the reversal of the colors. Democrats used to be red. But the old slogan "Better dead than red" didn't go well with them since they didn't want to belie their association with communist entities. Now, they made the subtle play that they are the "Democratic Party" not the "Democrat Party" in a move to make the Republicans seem less democratic. All the DEMOCRATS have is lies.
A pity.
It's all they have.
Thought it has just been in the last couple of years. . .but whatever and when; it is so fitting; if not pathetic; that these People of the Lie. ..the Party of Hypocrits; the Party of 'what you see'; is NEVER what you GET actually thinks they can hide the rat in their name. . .
