Arafat was a murderous thug who stole his own people blind and refused to make peace with the Israelois when he had the chance. Carter could not see that he was dealing with a soulmate of Al Capone?

There is some question of whether Mr.Carter himself advised Arafat not to take the deal.

Possible and believable that Carter could have done that, but I doubt it. Guys like Arafat and the rest of the Mideast thugs, need constant war to keep themselves in power and wealth by keeping the "ignorant masses" focused on killing Jews instead of looking at who their real oppressors are. The last thing they want is a settlement of any kind.

In much the same way, Jimmy Carter deserves a monument for his brave efforts to save the Palestinians from Israel’s cruel and determined attempt to destroy them as a people.
