Excercising your First Amendment rights is carrying a sign, not vandalizing the Capitol Building. Disgusting, I hope this officer is censured in some way.
And it's no surprise, it seems right in character to me. It's about respect, and these idiots don't respect their country, much less the Capitol building.
It's the chief who should be censured.
The Capitol Police get their orders from the politicians in charge. You can do anything you want in a committee hearing and if the Chairman says no arrests, there are no arrests. You now have Democrats in charge.
The job of any worker is to please his/her boss. The Chief is thinking to himself, "hmmmm, Pelosi is in charge now, a little paint is not going to cost me my job as fast as a riot with 'peace' protesters."
