I think the main reason reasonably minded people, i.e., pro-Americans, don't have these types of rallies is that we work, have families and lead busy lives. Those anti-war, troublemaking types tend to be young college kids and others without much responsibility who are easily led and swayed by the left. They are indoctrinated to believe that the world owes them and if they can't get their way they fight, vandalize, etc. (And they're supposed to be the peacemakers, right). Remember, most of those protestors don't even known what they're protesting, it's a big party to them.
I think the best thing we can do is to continue to educate the kids and give of our time in ways that doesn't require having to travel, like the internet. We need more tools like Freerepublic! Why is it that everywhere you go on the internet political forum sites are overwhelmingly liberal. Even sites that have political forums like courttv.com, babycenter.com and ivillage, you can hardly find a conservative. Is it for the same reasons, that we're just too busy?

in NY (Dear Abbie...) and it mentioned they were rich _trust fund_ kids
who turned on, tuned in, and dropped out...

It would be fitting to see a big group of these scumbags on their hands and knees scrubbing the graffiti off of the capitol steps with toothbrushes while armed guards in mirrored sunglasses helped them to get their minds right.

Since when is vandalism "Free Speech"? Whoever forced the capitol police to allow those overgrown babies to deface federal property should be driven out of their job yesterday.

1. LEOs hold the line. Period.
2. LEOS allow access to steps, and then watch as the Che-toadies commit criminal offenses. Toadies are then arrested, being shown no quarter.
these protesters should spray paint this cop's garage door and see how he feels about free speech. allowing vandalism to occur with no arrests is dereliction of duty and he needs to be reprimended and demoted to parking tickets.
