Giuliani Is Sounding More Like a Candidate
New York Times ^ | 1/28/07 | RICHARD PÉREZ-PEÑA

MANCHESTER, N. H., Jan. 27 — Rudolph W. Giuliani sounded nearer than ever to being a presidential candidate on Saturday, repeatedly talking about the prospect of running, and inviting voters to judge him by his record as mayor of New York City.

Nominating Rudy Giuliani to lead the Republican Party is like choosing Al Bundy to pastor your church.

Sorry, but the inalienable right to life is a God-given one. No state has the right to legalize murder. Go read the Preamble to the Constitution (a preamble is the basis for everything that follows) and you will learn, if you have basic reading comprehension skills, that every right that is guaranteed to you and I is equally shared by OUR POSTERITY.

And the federal government has a perfect right to define marriage. Utah and Arizona were not allowed to enter the Union, by law, until and unless they forsook polygamy in their foundational documents.

You're ignorant, and it is the exact type of ignorance that is destroying our free republic.

He is fiscally conservative, pro-business and strong on national defence.

So was Mussolini, but he was still a statist socialist.

Sorry, comparing the Liberal Party's endorsement of Rudy for NYC Mayor to him being a liberal for President (despite his fiscal & public safety conservatism as Mayor) is a bit of a stretch.

Why is the GOP even considering somebody without any executive experience?
Even worse is his stance on Abortion and other conservative fundamental issues. .
No money from my wallet for RHINO' this election.

Sorry, but the inalienable right to life is a God-given one.

So contact your Congresscritter and have them introduce a Constitutional Amendment banning abortion then. Rudy's past pro-abortion statements mean nothing. He didn't enact any pro-abortion policies as Mayor, and in fact, abortions declined under his watch. Presidents have very little control over abortion except appoint judges, and Rudy already said he'll nominate strict constructionists who'll likely overturn that atrocious ruling and return it back to the states.

Obviously, to you.

"...10-15 percent of the Conservative vote is Christian(they will never support a Pro-Abort/Pro-Gay candidate)..."

I heard Richard Miniter being interviewed on the radio Friday A.M. He writes for National Review Online and is author of "The Shadow War", "Disinformation" and "Losing Bin Laden - How Bill Clinton's failure's unleashed global terror"
He is well conected in political circles.

He stated that Rudy is getting the Social Conservative Republicans in Michigan to write checks to his campaign. They hear what he has to say and they are liking it. If he's able to get Michigandrs to no only support him, but write checks, he should be able to get the same results countrywid

That's like saying, "Mothers have little to do with bringing children into the world, except carrying them for nine months and birthing them."

Well, maybe we're getting down to the source of your support for Giuliani: Gross ignorance.

The main reason why the GOP got its ass-kicked in the mid-terms is because they tried to be all paternalistic and moral.

Look, people just want their taxes cut and gov't limited, OK? I don't need politicians preaching and telling me how morally superior they are and I'm just some mere rube who's going to burn in Hell.

When you cut the taxes and limit government, the social issues will take care of themselves. Stop with the flag-burning crap, trying to outlaw abortion completely (it'll never happen) or worrying about two guys getting it on somewhere.

Thats idiotic. Practically single handedly cleaned up NYCity. Then was pretty much the leader of the country in the week after 9/11.

The best that can happen with abortion is that roe v wade will be overturned and it will still be legal in all the major metropolitan areas. If that is your number one issue....you must of had your TV off on 9/11.

That's like saying, "Mothers have little to do with bringing children into the world, except carrying them for nine months and birthing them."

There you go again, completely missing the point.

Instead of lobbying your Congressman to pass a constitutional amendment banning abortion, or supporting someone like Giuliani who'll nominate justices who'll overturn the ruling, you want a President who'll magically wave a wand and eliminate all abortions. Another reason why the pro-life movement continues to be stuck on neutral, because it doesn't know how to fight the long-term battles.

Benjamin Franklin would have agreed with Rudy when he took over NYC from the disastrous David Dinkins.

Giuliani was awarded the Reagan Medal of Freedom.

Reagan admired Giuliani and appointed to his to the #3 position at the Justice Department.

Of all the books sold at Reagan's online library, Giuliani's book Leadership is one of the few not about Reagan himself or presidential airplanes or ships.

Giuliani is going to work to overturn something that he has supported his entire political career? Who do you think you're kidding? The man even supports Partial Birth abortions, aka infanticide.

I take back the "deluded comment". You're a deceiver.

So am I to assume that you prefer conservatives throw the very issues
"we've been fighting for", out the window because of a popularity circle jerk fest over Giuliani?
Be my guest, but you won't win my vote over by assuming you know
whats best for our party and our country.

Giuliani = political suicide for the Republicans..
