A drunk and a bigot - what the US Presidental hopeful HASN'T said about his father
Daily Mail (UK) ^ | 1/27/2007 | SHARON CHURCHER

Posted on 01/28/2007 6:04:06 AM PST by Kid Shelleen

It is a classic story of the American dream made real: an impoverished Kenyan goatherd rising to become a brilliant Harvard-educated economist.

On the way he fights racial prejudice at home and corruption at work, survives the heartbreak of a broken relationship and, despite it all, leads the fight to rid Africa of its colonial legacy.

This extraordinary story is told by US Presidential hopeful Barack Obama as he recalls the life of the man who inspired him to political success - his father.

Mr Obama's book, Dreams From My Father, is flying off the shelves of US book stores, exciting and astonishing readers in equal measure. It is a bestseller, and no wonder - because the story just gets better and better

Think about how the country would go under Obama or Hillary. Like Bill, Hillary will bend with the wind but she is not the cut and run liberal that Obama is. I would take Hillary over most of the big libs on the Left. Hillary may turn out to be a hawk - who knows.

If his father was already married to another woman when he married Obama's mother, doesnt that make Obama a Bastard?

Not that it matters ,so was Bill Clinton. It might even help with democrats.

It is hard to read this story this morning when on every channel the talking heads are on speaking of how awful it is that Obama is being called Muslim. In fact I just watched as several of these heads tried to beatify Obama and give him early sainthood.

His mother must be a real piece of work. Filled with White guilt and an Atheist to boot.

I urge folks not to look at Obama's Muslim culture, but to look at the racist church he now belongs to,and his liberal efforts toward abortion.

Untreated alcoholism is full of serious pathology. We do not need an adult child of an alcoholic who is such a malicious narcisist that he will project his neuroses on American society instead of dealing with them.

I don't really care about ObamaOsama....nor can I really grasp all the wives and turns in this article. But...

It is alleged that Ruth finally left him after he repeatedly flew into whisky-fuelled rages, beating her brutally.

...someone must stand up for Whiskey here.

Whiskey does not "fuel" rages. Whiskey, at best, releases the inhibitions of the real man that is inside, and has always been waiting for an opportunity to get out. Hence good drunks and bad drunks. Some men get more generous and gregarious when well applied. Bad men get worse.

Whiskey: truth serum.

Also, Whiskey does a fair job of meting out punishment for an inanimate substance.

Friends say drinking blighted his life - he lost both his legs while driving under the influence and also lost his job.

Well, there you go!

Is it? I heard or read somewhere that Soros (with his bucks) is backing Osama . . . anyone else hear that? It would certainly change the equation.

So would I. If for no other reason, to drive a wooden stake into the heart of the Klinton power machine.

Verrry interesting.
There is a clear trail of lies, fabricated biography, distortions and outright fraud with Kerry, Clinton and Obama. They are each convinced that the electorate will swallow whole every myth they perpetuate about themselves. On a state level they have been proven correct. On a national level not so much.
It remains to be seen whether myth building will win a national election.

Yeah, he worked for the murderer, Kenyatta.

WHat next, Al Sharpton going for the white racist vote by claiming his grandpappy was in the Wehrmacht?

Father was a Drunk & a Bigot....

So? Reagan's father was a drunk, too. Are we saying Obama is the new Reagan?

Ever read about Reagan's father? Kennedy's Grandfather?

I gotta call bs. Alchohol turns lambs into sasquatch on a nightly basis world wide. Take the story of Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde. No need for some elaborate laboratory to create a potion. The imagery would have been just as efective had they used a still to create everclear. Everclear or pure grain alcohol (which is all this flavored and colored crap is) would be more effective a potion to turn sober men into monsters than anything he could of devised.

Hillary is going for the quick kill.

Exactly right. She's doubly mad at obama because she didn't get to do her phoney tour of the masses (with lots of free air time courtesy of the DBM) where the little people proclaim she must run and NY'ers agree to release her from her promise to them.

JMO, but all the media air he was sucking in forced her to announce at least 6 months before she intended.

Obama's parents were apparently both useless narcissistic pieces of sh*t -- both abandoning him, most notably. But it is to Obama's credit that he nevertheless made much of himself, and did not succumb to bitterness, and has an apparently successful marriage.

Still, a serious nation would not now be taking Obama seriously as a President, especially in a time of war. He has no more experience than John Edwards - some time in a state house, 2 years in the US Senate, never managed anything as executive larger than a campaign or the Harvard Law Review.

His father was a human being and as such you can't say that he was 100 per cent perfect.

Well then, at least 1% perfect?

I do not think we can say it is a bad thing to overly honor one's dead parents, even if they were dishonorable. But I cannot take Obama seriously for President (see above).

I believe Hillary's strategy is that she is going to let him "suck all of the air out of the room" and when the time is right, let her attack dogs out.

We have seen the Clintoon's at work for many years. They are masters of it.

If the Kennedy machine is backing Obama, I have a feeling that Obama is the Kennedy answer to the Democratic Party Control power play of the Clinton camp.

The Clinton kingmaker cadre were pushing to dominate the party during the last potus election (recall how they went to the 'aid' of Kerry's flagging campaign), have no doubt expanded that hegemony during the midterms, and the Kennedys may be responding with a counter-candidate they are trying to market to edge out Hillary.

Get the popcorn, this could shape up to be an interesting power struggle on the moonbat side.
