It's from quite a while back. I think the video first appeared shortly after the Fallujah offensive.

Oh good grief, I thought it might be part of the new crack down.
Well one can hope this is the way the Sadrmites are being engaged now - the ones that didn't run away to Iran anyway.

Blackwater, our guys, doesn't matter - killing the enemy. I could watch stuff like that all day.

That video was made back during the first Mehdi revolt. Blackwater had carte blanche to take out "black flags" and they were on a tall building in the middle of a "target rich environment", either in Najaf or Karbala. The massacre of the four Blackwater employees was still fresh on their minds, even though they had already taken their revenge in a bloody incident where a small band of heavily armed Blackwaters set up a murderous urban ambush site, killing several hundred bad guys who thought they could waltz in there and slaughter them. But in this case, I would not be surprised if the sniper shown got one kill for every four rounds he fired, in that the idiots just kept dancing around, en masse and exposed in the target area. The bus was also carrying Mehdi, so was a very legitimate target. If you want to see a LOT more military videos, including this one and its related video: http://www.militaryvideos.net/

Blackwater must work with the US military though, right?
Some of the voices must be Military.
Who would have been shooting the .50 you hear?
One thing I'm learning is that we have engaged Sadr, from what many say it sounds like we haven't, ie all the talk we should have dealt with him long ago.

Well, there are a few articles about it. The details were that they set up what amounted to a double kill zone, two approaches to a walled compound with no substantial cover in either of them. But to the untrained eye, it looked like a small version of Fort Zinderneuf, easy pickins for a frontal assault.
At the start of the fight, the lone US Marine who was with them was injured, so the arranged for him to be air evac'ed. Then they would get brief visits from a Blackwater resupply chopper that would drop them more ammo. The US military stayed away, to let them have their revenge.
By later accounts, they killed a double s-load of Mehdi army fighters.
