All I had to do was read the headline to come up with the same response.

Let's see, it's only taken these people five and a half years to figure this out?

WOW do I feel safe and protected. /sarcasim

It just doesn't seem to concern those in the Senate, many in the House, several at the White House including the one in the Oval Office, nor the ones who head the Justice Department or the Homeland Security Department.

It does seem to concern those vigilante Minutemen and a few members of the House and a couple of Senators.

To quote Judge Judy: "Follow the money." The drug trade money buys a significant amount of influence, just the the OPEC oil money does.

The drugs provide the funding for terrorism.

And here I thought it was my gas-guzzling SUV.

Evidence of "special-interest [Muslim] aliens" using the Mexican border to gain entry to the United States has been kept secret from the American public, according to federal law enforcement agents, terrorism experts and critics of U.S. foreign policy with Mexico.

Of course it has. Revealing such info (about "special interest aliens") to the general public would force the Feds to actually do something about the problem -- specifically, to guard our borders as if the country's survival depended upon it (which of course it does).

But globalism and cheap labor trumps national security in their view, evidently.

What a surprise. Imagine that. Worry but do nothing. About par for the course. Maybe someone, someday will get it right and do something. But, please don't hang by your thumbs until it happens.

The message I get from this story is: We, the federal government, will not protect you, we don't care about you and if you or family dies, so what!

We're on our own and must act accordingly.

As conservatives we learn responsibility as children. We assume the necessity of parental control with the understanding it is for our own good and it is fair. As we mature, we extend this feeling to others including our society and its government.

Conservatives treasure the society and government they have and are a bulwark of patriotic sentiment. What they expect from the government is equal justice and enforcement of law. This means all who break the law must in some way be held accountable. When the issue of "illegal immigration" arises what is missed is the deep seated, innate resentment that the law is not being enforced.

Illegal immigration gnaws at the very center of the conservative mind. No matter what is said, no matter how nuanced the argument and no matter who says it the response is going to be the same--enforce the law!

Until steps are made, anticipate little conservative support for anyone's high sounding plans--that means the Congress and the President will not be supported in their effort. No policy can continue nor any government exist when the citizens believe it to be morally flawed and unjust.

No kidding. But hell, we don't have to pay $6 for a head of lettuce, so it's all worth it!

Border security is a key provision and duty of the Federal govt. It's beyond me how they continue to ignore the many problems. Nothing makes sense.

In border towns the Police cant be trusted,so they are removed and replaced by the military, which cant be trusted either.
Mexican military invading our country at their leisure.
Terrorists walking across like they own the place.

The only people protecting us at all are the Minutemen and they are being harrassed and threatened at every move.

These things cannot be going on without our governments approval and knowledge. The President has to know this is going on. Our representatives cannot be so stupid as to not know this is happening. We are being sold out and our country is being given away by the people in political power of both parties. It seems the only bi-partisan act in the country is its sale to Mexico.

We sit at our computer boards and read stories like this and we find it unbelieveable that these things can happen, and they cannot without the active knowledge and co-operation of all Branches of our Government. I hate to be a conspiracy theorist, but DAMN. Look at the facts.

This story is not an abberation, its not a lot different from other stories saying the same thing. Common Sense will tell us if 40,000 people a day can walk over from Mexico some of them are bound to be criminals, smugglers thieves , killers, and foreign terrorists.

It's a scary scenario you paint but what else are we to believe.

Not to worry. T Snow is going to do great wonders. Remember all the FReepers who just knew he would be the salvation for the WH and the Nation.

Except that he is one of them; one of the open borders advocates; one of the amnesty for illegals groupies.

The scenario is in the story. I didnt paint it. Its happening. We are being invaded and our Government is doing nothing to stop it.

What else can it be but a positive effort to sell us out?

It's all about votes. These folks are banking on giving Amnesty to the illegals for votes. What they are not figuring is the current citizens who will rise up and remove them forceably from office should we be attacked again. Then they will care.
