You win the prize of the day.A better description could never be made. The last time there,a junk something or other was in a lot of yards.Try and buy it,and you realize the owner has some type of love affair with it!I think it makes them feel like they own something. It saddened me deeply to see how bad things had gotten. The streams I used to fish in were just puddles of water everywhere. When the NY EPA took over,it was over.If a stream ran through your property, you had to have a permit,[which must be approved!]and other leap holes to hurdle, just to keep the stream clear.Multiply that by numerous other farmers down the line and fuggedaboutit it.What I knew, saw, and played in became nothing more than....well,I can't think of a word. The old farmers used to trim the apple trees on a regular cycle. After the big boys put them under, all that stopped.Growing up,we had numerous trees to eat apples from. All that is gone too.The land I am talking about is upstate NY.We used to refer to them as "The Boonies".I wouldn't know what to call them now.To bad some of the educated ones stayed.

Ahhh those apple trees. They are everywhere in the southern tier...just growing blooming but no one to take care of them.

You see either very poor...lots, or a few wealthier...who have govt (taxpayer funded) jobs mostly ---state cops, teachers, and the like. Small business? Gone just disappeared.
