A kiss becomes where the soul meets the lips. Intercourse becomes a leaving of yourself and a confluence with the beloved.
Beautiful. A chill went up my spine as I read those profoundly true words. Amen. The marriage ceremony element of the two candles lighting the one, then bride and groom blowing out their own candle in deference to the one--that is truly for the 'common good.'

Beautiful: the bride and groom lighting the one candle, and then blowing out their own.
We heat our house with a wood stove, and I often think of how cheerful the flames are, how it makes your heart happy ad your whole body warm. Illumination and warmth and life --- vs the kind of blaze that burns your house down, leaving but smoke and ash and loss and death.
So this is what true sexual love in marriage is about: the beautiful use of fire.
