A young disabled man who receives care for his life-limiting illness at a hospice run by a nun spoke yesterday of his decision to use a prostitute to experience sex before he dies.
Sister Frances Dominica gave her support to 22-year-old Nick Wallis, who was born with Duchenne muscular dystrophy. Sufferers usually die by their thirties.
Mr Wallis told staff at the Douglas House hospice in Oxford that he wanted to experience sexual intercourse. He explained that he had hoped to form an intimate and loving relationship with a woman, but his disability had acted as a barrier.
He told The Daily Telegraph: "It was a decision two years in the making and I discussed it with my carers and my parents. Telling my mother and father was the hardest part, but in the end they gave me their support.

No one has an absolute right to "not be offended". That is a lib viewpoint. Don't apologize for being you.
As far as the church goes in this matter, I think these caring souls did just what loving people should do when caring for someone. They were most concerned about his comfort and dying wishes, as it should be.
And anyone here who thinks they have the answers as to how this young man should go about dying are far too nosy and judgmental for me.

>>And Catholic clergy/nun had no freaking business being involved.
>If it was nobody's business then it shouldn't bother you.
I'm not for passing laws in such a case, but I am bothered by watching our moral institutions be corrupted. It's a sign of the times that so many are not bothered by hearing of a nun arranging for a man to have sex with a prostitute. And if he wanted to try cocaine? Does his dying permit the church to do anything that harms no one else?

Yeah, wanting food is so selfish and self-centered of men. That's probably the dumbest inference I've ever seen, contradicted by the very words I typed.

For the good news, Mr. Wallis, we were mistaken on your diagnosis of Duchenne muscular dystrophy, that was another patient, but the bad news is you now have a STD.

I think they showed love, compassion and mercy on a poor dying soul. Wow..Absolutely.

Mortals wrote the Bible, unless the actual hand of God put pen to paper I'll remain a bit skeptical about some of it's interpretation by said mortals.
Counseling and self release is NOT what this man needed, hasn't he suffered enough?

You've got me picturing the head of this hospice with a fur coat, a gold walking stick, alligator shoes and a pimp hat.

That is because sex is everywhere! Start paying attention to the TV and see if the topic of sex wasn't there they would have no creativity at all. It's not about love or intimacy it's just sex and the cruder the better. I read a item of Dennis Prager about sex and it was pretty good and spot on. In the local news a school bus driver had charges brought against him for having sex with students. I mean this is all the time. How can we be any different than Sodom and Gomorrah? Today it is not about love! We have abortions, assisted suicide, and of course the whole gay marriage thing.Every day you hear or read about children being abducted and molested. And many churches are going along with it all. And my pet peeve, which makes me sick to my stomach, is using Gods name in vain. We are not acting like a Christian nation. And then add to that the fastest growing religion is Islam! Can anyone explain that to me. Please!

Man doesn't live by bread alone, although for some, even lieing on a deathbed fails to awaken their volition to exercsing faith through Christ.
