What idiot wrote this? They, like so many other critics, have no idea what goes on behind the scenes.

If you read between the lines, you will find that it's all true.

America has been Fidel Castro's best friend. Their clumsiness has helped his continued survival for nearly five decades. The Revolution will be 50 years old on January 1st, 2009.

"The Revolution will be 50 years old on January 1st, 2009. " ...and we have no one to thank but 9 American Presidents.

This is an el greco forgery to say the least... but maybe Castro will be buried in Spain, his birth place. And that is not a lie.
To: Blind Eye Jones
Trust me. Castro will not be caught dead outside of Cuba!

This brave family of three started a march for unity for the liberation of Cuban political prisoners. They began on December 12 at the Virgen del Cobre in Santiago, Cuba, and hope to reach la Habana in February.

"Bush-bashing", "Bush-Bashing", "Bush-Bashing" - the libs have really turned you so 'ideological' than you can't see honest to goodness real and justified criticism when it hits you right on the head.
To: The Bronze Titan
There is no honest criticism in this piece at all.

I'm happy in some ways that Castro won. Cuba would have been better off without him, but we as Americans should embrace the lesson of humility. It is always good to have one clear foreign policy failure to point to so that we know that practicality should always be considered in our foreign policy endeavors.
My sense of humor gets a little weird sometimes.

Miracle Max: Whoo-hoo-hoo, look who knows so much. It just so happens that your friend here is only MOSTLY dead. There's a big difference between mostly dead and all dead. Mostly dead is slightly alive. With all dead, well, with all dead there's usually only one thing you can do.
Inigo Montoya: What's that?
Miracle Max: Go through his clothes and look for loose change.

Even if it is, there are most assuredly things the administration does under the radar to undermine Castro. But people who write articles like this think every is as it seems when it is not.
