San Jose, Calif., January 25, 2007 -- Sen. Dianne Feinsteins husband was a major beneficiary of military appropriations blessed by a subcommittee that she headed, Metro Newspapers reports this week.
Feinstein (D-Calif.) acted in a conflict of interest while approving billions of dollars in military construction expenditures for the global war on terror, according to an investigative story by award-winning journalist Peter Byrne. The story was published jointly in the North Bay Bohemian and Metro Silicon Valley weekly newspapers this week. Research assistance was provided by the Investigative Fund of the Nation Institute.
Following Feinsteins participation at the legislative level, large contracts were awarded to two firms URS Corporation and Perini Corporation that were controlled by an investment group headed by the senators spouse, financier Richard C. Blum.
Byrne's investigation reveals the following details about Feinsteins service as a member of the United States Senates Military Construction Appropriations subcommittee (MILCON).

URS ping
She needs to resign immediately if what they said in the article is true that she voted on contracts that benefitted her husband's company. She should not have been on Armed Services with info on contracts that her husband's company submitted bids and looks like they won. Ney resigned and so should Feinstein!
At least the contracts didn't go to Halliburton. (/sarc)
I heard that URS got IDIQ contract on military barracks worth over $100 million.
No such luck. The RATS are like the mafia. Can't be touched. Or should have said they are the untouchables.
Impeach or remove I say!! Californians and the American people are SICK of this.
I first heard mention of the article earlier today from a talk show caller.
Halliburton catches hell and, though some news articles have been printed, virtually nothing is said about URS.
I've sent several messages to George Norry on CoasttocoastAM asking about URS. Mr. Norry has nary a word about URS but goes ballistic at the mention of Hallibuton -- and C2C has millions of listners every Bush-bashing night.
I remember after Baghdad had fallen, 60 minutes did a story on companies who got contracts, no mention of URS.
I had to do a lot rework on some of their engineering when the Gov't got p.o. at them for lousy work.
You might have heard about this but not in the LA Slimes and certainly not on network news shows. Wonder how long she will stay off TV?
Hence, it never happened.
It's ok if Democrats lie, cheat, and steal. They are exempt from obeying laws that send others to prison.
Figures. The dems will try to bury this but the extreme left feels might feisty these days. They will try to bring this up unless she goes lock step with impeachment and bringing the troops home.
Well...golly, lookee here what we found...
DiFi...where are you???
LOL
Why would the Democrats do anything if the Repoublicans didn't?
Standard operating procedure -- they might want to look into their Chinese business operations as well. Here we go again --- but don't expect their MSM to say much about it...needless to say.
I know -- DemocRATs are subject to a different standard but figured I would start the drum beat of she must resign since this session of Congress led by the DemocRATs wants to be completely ethical with their new rules. Now we shall see if their actions match their rhetoric. I am sure not putting any money on them doing one thing to Feinstein or the Administration going after her for this. Hope I am surprised.
Pelosi gets called out for omitting American Samoa from the minimum wage bill....where Starkist has business..but, their headquarters are in Nancy's district.
She gets called out...but the bill isn't changed as far as I know.
