ITHACA, NY--The yearlong Ithaca College discussion series Global Fury/Global Fear: Engaging Muslims will host a presentation by Palestinian peace activist Leena Dallasheh on Wednesday, Feb. 7. Her talk, Israel-Palestine: Occupation and Struggle, will be held at 7 p.m. in Klingenstein Lounge, Egbert Hall. It is free and open to the public.
Currently a Ph.D. candidate in the Department of Middle Eastern and Islamic Studies at New York University, Dallasheh has been a member of Taayush (Co-existence), an organization dedicated to bringing about peace and equality between Palestinians and Jewish Israelis.
Associate professor of politics Beth Harris will be the faculty presenter and Virginia Mansfield-Richardson, associate dean of the Roy H. Park School of Communications, will offer the introductory comments for Dallashehs presentation.
The Global Fury/Global Fear: Engaging Muslims series is sponsored by the Ithaca College Center for the Study of Culture, Race, and Ethnicity as a way to understand Islam and its relation to the larger world.
I'd like to see the definition of "co-existence" in her dictionary.
Its probably pretty similar to the way that Jews "co-existed" with Germans in the 1930s
This sounds like a Barf fest.
NY counterprotest PING!!!
Okay, time to post that "Ithaca, City Of Evil" .gif.
Anybody got that?
What's to understand? They'll kill you in a heartbeat if you give them the chance.
Maybe I'm missing the nuance here, but it seems to me like it's us or them.
So peace activists support the Paleistinians, who blow up Israelis? OK.
I'm sure a disruptive protest against THIS person would be decreed as "fascist".
Left wing campuses often CANCEL conservative speakers because of the "outrage" on campus, and then if they get to speak, they are bombarded with protestors and disruptions.
I weary of loudmouthed 'tards.
