I know you are right. I am just feeling a terrible sadness today.

Everyone and I mean everyone had better start getting behind our CIC and the troops to support their mission and victory. The pillow biters and bed wetters of the Rats, media and naysayers have been warned.
I agree with you 100%.
After Congress cut off the money our troops almost had to swim back home.
"Those that do not learn from the mistakes of the past, are doomed to ................."
Great home page!
This attack could be for purely propaganda purposes. Perhaps it was run by Iranian operatives.
The Senators are gonna go all wimpy over this.....course we may not be able to tell....
For what it's worth, I don't see anything sophisticated about it.
It simply proves to me that the Iraqis are not ready to take over.
That is very obvious. I don't know how the Administration can pretend they are.
Yet Dims in congress are concerned about how US troops would be treated by enemies if we don't take a high road.
I have been wondering about this, too. I can't believe they'd just want to show off, though, and blow the fact that they were capable of doing this simply to prove they could. For one thing, you know security is going to be one heck of a lot higher now, so they'd have a much harder time repeating the stunt.
One earlier article mentioned that a "low security" computer was taken when the men were killed (or kidnapped, as it seems now). I wonder if this computer or some other information was actually the objective of this. I hope it actually was "low security," btw, and was used for nothing but solitaire and somebody's off-time Freeping.
We will WIN this, sarasota.
The Administration?!
Wrong.
Doesn't matter if it is or is not politically correct. What matters is, what you want is wrong. Thank God for President Bush.
There are NO rules in lover or war! We are not in 18th century Europe, where captured militant members of the opposition are released under the premise that they will not reenter the battlefield upon pain of death. There ain't a member of the Islamic community I see as a gentlemen. What we need are examples, both in leadership and on the battlefield. sitting stagnant hoping the enemy is going to play fair will NEVER happen with these cowards. Besides, there is only one language they understand, and that is the threat of death, not being sent to gitmo.

Yea. I really don't see handing Iraq to the Iraqis this year.
From reports there was no egress route and they didn't try to bluff their way out. Means right after the attack they went mufti and disappeared into Karbala. A Shia stronghold. With these kinds of resources it suggests Iranian connections. Maybe the Iranians are trying to create a Fallujah like event to whip up Shia Anti-US fervor. A response to the Irbil events. Just about everything that happens in Iraq is an asymmetrical response to something else.
Damn complex for sure..
What depresses me is the wild thirst for blood, on a massive scale beyond anything in human history, that is being shown on this thread. That they demand President Bush become a rabid killer of everyone and everything in sight. I think I'm going to be sick. I don't think that is what our own military is looking for. I think they want to use tough and smart military tactics but do not want wanton slaughter. I know you are with me on that. But I feel alone at the moment. Sorry for the downer.
Lord have mercy, our troops are more than prepared for this type of war!!!!! It is the spineless Dems who are unprepared for this type of war!!! Because of all their effin belllyaching our soldiers have to walk on eggshells over there. They not only have to watch their backs when it comes to the terrorists but they have to watch their backs when it comes to their own goverment. Gosh I detest Hillary and her bunch.
Thank you very much!
