Obama calls for universal health care within six years (and Hillary too)

Every American should have health care coverage within six years, Democratic Sen. Barack Obama said Thursday as he set an ambitious goal soon after jumping into the 2008 presidential race.

"I am absolutely determined that by the end of the first term of the next president, we should have universal health care in this country," the Illinois senator said.

His chief rivals, Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton and John Edwards, also are strong proponents of universal health care and have promised to offer their plans.

On Thursday, she criticized Bush's proposal to make health care more affordable through tax breaks, arguing that it would lead to less funding for hospitals.

Sounds like EVOLUTION in action to me!

Or let us eliminate/ban all medicine to better the human race. The healthy will survive while the sick will die out. This would be the Social Darwinism version.

Less radical variant according to Free Market Fundamentalism would permit the medical care ONLY to those who can pay for it with cash at the negotiated price! No insurance allowed, those who are not capable (for example after the stroke) to negotiate price should be left to die or recover on their own.

Most M.D.s who support such destructive notions as 'universal health care' are policy wonk/administration types who don't see patients. I don't really think of these people as physicians and have little regard for most of their opinions. While the rest of us were taking call at night, not sleeping, and taking care of patients, these people were working the angles so they could make more money, have more power, and never fill sleepless nights, weekends, or holidays with patient care responsibilities. What a waste of medical training.

Also, her conversation consists of taking carefully selected, short, and reworded questions and spending 90% of the time answering how much she cares.

We both know that she's aware, and she knows that she is part of a big group that wants to run everyone elses lives, whether they like it or not, for they are not informed enough to make good decisions in this day and age.

This socialized Health care is just the beginning of Big Brother watching everything we do. Everything we buy, Just wait til they will be able to ping that Digital Angel Satalite to our location. We both know that she's aware

I am not so sure of that. She is one of these social progress types who want FedGov to do ever more. The dangers of this type show most clearly when they get around to declaring the people as assets of the state. This has happened elsewhere and needs to be watched out for.
