California Congressman Duncan Hunter is the first candidate to pay for television advertising time on New Hampshire airwaves for the 2008 presidential election.
The ad, which began airing on WMUR-TV in Manchester today, shows Hunter in front of a fence on the border with Mexico.
CNN is reporting the ad also airing in Iowa.
Hunter announced in South Carolina Wednesday he is running for president. He will visit New Hampshire on Monday.
Last month, DraftObama.com paid for ads on cheaper cable networks encouraging Illinois Senator Barack Obama to run for...

Please vote 'Strongly Support' for Duncan Hunter for President in the following FREE REPUBLIC poll.
Like an illegal when he crosses the border, they hits the ground running.
Could it be...?.....
Could Mr. Cakemix be ready to rumble?
Obama airs an ad that urges himself to run?
1. He has no chance of getting the Republican nomination.
2. If he miraculously would get it, Hillary would be a shoo-in, something like 70/30.
The question Republicans and conservatives need to focus on is not whom you like the most, but WHO CAN BEAT HILLARY AND is the most tolerable Republican.
(For the record, I think McCain is NEITHER)

imho, it is a long way from the primaries,, whoever can raise dough and energize folks with a straight forward no nonsense agenda and not look like a sap doing it will have an edge.
Aint many so far that fit that bill,, at this point. They haven't even done a catwalk yet.
I'm psyched! This guy is for real! He's going to need a butt load of bucks though. I believe that with a similar "grassroots internet" awareness, similar to what Howard Dean had in '04, he could do it. Probably more so, considering that Dean attracted the unwashed, low dollar, unemployed, professional protestor with limited funds.
fyi ,, sap = silly-arsed politician

Settling for the mindless mantra of "We have to vote for who we think can beat Hillery, rather than voting for the RIGHT CANDIDATE, is also what got us this gaggle of Goobers in COngress that we have now!
Personally, I think the political pundits do not have a clue how many people can not stomach the sight or thought of Her Thighnessm, in ALL political parties...but they keep the media fawning over her. Fortunately, we have FRee Republic to get the word out!

Just the opposite. "Conservatives" who didn't get out to vote "to teach Republicans a lesson" contributed to the election of the current Democrat Congress. The same ones, who didn't think Bush I was conservative enough and stayed home or voted for Perot gave us 8 years of Bill Clinton and launched Hillary's political career and are about to help get Hillary elected. How conservative is that and how does that advance conservatism?
With all due respect, I believe both of our points are correct.
95% of thos missed votes don't work that way.
They don't do it to "teach 'em a lesson". They just became disenchanted. The were deactivated and nothing hit their trigger to reactivate.
Hunter at the top WILL. He is what they didn't think was out there in '06.
Yo - O
This sounds so familiar...
Wasn't that why the Democrats nominated Kerry in the last election? Some morons in the media and assorted party idiots told the Dummies Kerry (and no one else) could beat Bush.
That worked so well for them, why don't we try it in '08? /s
