50% support, 37% undecided, 13% oppose. (FR Member opinion)

Pretty strong, considering his (relative) "no-name" status.

We can't vote on that-we already did. However, I would change my vote from undecided to strongly support now.

The most conservative candidate running for President. Thanks for asking.

Folks

Though my powerful personality gives me the force of ten. I am but one humble man.

Beyond that, what makes him unelectable. He has been shooting up in the polls. It's very early yet and he raised $300,00 just yesterday...

Some FReepers would have objections if God himself was on the ballot. You learn that after a while on FR and let it pass. They'd argue with a stone.

He's got good physical presence. From the couple of interviews I've heard, he's well spoken. His record appears to be pretty spot on so far.

I think his winning the general election would pretty much be determined upon how much support shifts to him from the RINO contingent if one of their apparent chosen 3 (Guiliani, McCain, Romney) fail to get the nod. If they take their ball and go home, or worse... pull a Perot, it'll hand the Dems the election.

But then again, that could happen regardless of who wins the Primary. McCain wins, I could see Guilani going third party or vice versa. Not so much Romney though. He seems like he'd bow out graciously. If one of them gets pout-ey over losing the Primary, we could be in for a very rough few years.

Someone help me out here. Does this question ax whether I actively support him NOW, TODAY, or does it ax if I would support him NEXT YEAR IF he gets the nomination?

The answer is "undecided", and "yes", respectively. I put him in the front tier, ahead of McInsane and certain others...

I'm not saying he is unlikable or even not intriguing. I'm just saying grass roots campaigns like his are extreme longshots and he probably won't be in the mix long. Remember, it will be Hillary or Obama - two that are capable of garnering lots of press, lots of money, and lots of "swing votes". Some people that sat out the 04 race that were "undecided" (women and african americans) will be in this time for one of those two.

My fear is that the GOP is going to be a very fractured bunch this time. Conservative GOP's will look at folks like Hunter and moderates have cast their lot with Guiliani or McCain or Romney. Strong conservatives have threatened to sit out if it is one of those three, which would de facto give the election to Obama or Hillary. I'm just saying let's don't cut off our nose to spite our face. The dems are going to be rallied around one of those two, whichever one it is. We need to do the same.

Interesting. Where does he stand on firearms laws and what is his NRA Rating? I didn't notice any references to that.
