Bush continues to play this "more civil tone" crap while the Dem-seditionists throw more and more mud in his face, and are nearly ready to launch impeachment.

He should have gone after the NYTimes for leaks, even if there was no reasonable chance of conviction.

And he should have hit back HARD at these race baiting Democrats following the Hurricane Katrina devastation. SCREW THIS "FEMA WAS TO BLAME" bullcrap.

FEMA did as well as possible under the circumstances. It was the thieving Mayor Nagin and the ghetto attitudes which caused 95-percent of the problems in New Orleans.

Notice the other areas in Louisana and Fla. fared much better and are well on their way to full recovery.

Bush should have set a tone three years ago that the US was not gonna sit idly by while seditionist newspapers did the legwork for alQaeda types.

And he should have charged Berger.

And he should STILL specifically name and counter these hatemonger Democrat politicians who accuse him of lying, or worse.

For heavens sake, STOP BEING A WIMP, Mr. President!!!

Bush came into office with a Cowboy image, and has turned that into a Wimpboy image these past three years, and it turns my stomach.

And that wimp tone is a large part of the reason the GOP got drubbed so badly in '06. They were scared to fight the lamestream media. They were scared to fight back against near traiterous libs.

Oh please, Republicans have never had the power, money, or stomach to take on the enormous monopoly of the MSM/DNC/Hollywood/Academia/Bureaucracy/Judiciary, ect.

To try a blame this all on one man defeats the entire issue, much like trying to blame him for FEMA.

For what happens when he leaves office, ZILICH, or are we to conclude that things will suddenly get better in gov?

No, because gov has been growing for 40 years, coincidently, that's about as long as the MSM have been in charge of policy and our pols in the country.

Even our vaunted class of 94 could not overcome their smear campaigns against, and were defeated in 96, WITHOUT dismantling the Ed Dept which they promised to do, but backed down with the public raised cane, ie, the MSM raised cane.

It is up to us, I guess, for who of our reps in DC even know who the enemy is?

The way Jimmy Carter came into office with a folksy sunday-school teacher image. It was (and is) all for show.

All very good points. Bush has repeatedly said that the security of this country is job #1 yet does nothing about the seditionist acts.

Being a punching bag for the socialists just invites more of the same..I'm disgusted.

He should have instituted War-time Censorship Laws. But you wanna bet they'd be struck down almost before they were passed?

"They were scared to fight the lamestream media. They were scared to fight back against near traiterous libs."

I am not convinced that President Bush is a wimp. Is he 'selectively picking his battles'? I don't know, but I share the frustration many feel when assaults on the administration and our country aren't countered with the ferocity with which they are issued.

Yup. As someone who is neither a Bush-basher nor a Bush-bot, I'd have to say GWB has been looking wimpy and wobbly for quite awhile now, suggesting that appearances are not deceiving in his case. I hope I am wrong on this but our enemies seem to be getting emboldened by his weak behavior.

"... the reason the GOP got drubbed so badly in '06. They were scared to fight the lamestream media. They were scared to fight back against near traiterous libs." I'm certain it has never dawned on you that the democrats and their planted clinton minions instituted a campaign to turn the Bush Presidency into a defensive bunch of paranoids and that reacting to every piece of steaming crap the democrats and their media whores and gov't leakers could create would have accomplished just that. Berger's job in the Archives was to eliminate the margins evidence which showed the clintonista's plans to set traps for the incoming administration, in typical disregard for the American people's safety and disdain for doing the right thing. Democrats are about empowering democrats, nothing else. Nothing else, the nation be damned so long as the democrats are empowered by disaster.
