Why not a resolution in support of our President, our troops and the continuing war against Islamofacism?

Actually---although this isn't what he intends---this will be pretty good. The more of these idiotic resolutions that are passed, the more confusing and meaningless they all become.

If it had been Islamofascists who had shot down Johnny McCain in Vietnam, he would be praying towards Mecca today and chanting 'allah akbar'.

Oh please, why not a resolution to defeat an enemy who takes pleasure in targeting women and children in the marketplace and schools.
What a bunch of simpering, sniveling, effeminate, embarrassing group of Senators.

Somehow I have a gut feeling that most of the congress critters don't really understand what the war is all about.

I agree- it's the commander in Chief and the commanders on the ground and those on staff that determine benchmarks NOT congress! Geez- now we're supposed to run wars through biased agenda driven congressional dolts far removed from the action and ignorant of the conditions on the ground?

Considering the fact that Bush hasn't done a good job of selling the war to the American people, I have the gut feeling that most Americans in general have no clue about this war (or the fact that it's been going on for centuries).

Why not a resolution in support of our President, our troops and the continuing war against Islamofacism? Yes, and why not include the word "VICTORY"?
I still maintain that Mister McCain knows a GOP primary victory is unlikely, and he plans either ...
(a) to run as Hillary Rodham's veep, or...
(b) to run as a third party spoiler, with no chance of anything but a spiteful score-setteling with the GOP (who, ironically, would have voted for him in a landslide if he had chosen to be a stable conservative.)

Congress, both the House and Senate had oversight of our intelligence committees and failed on 9/11 and every other issue facing America today. Then they wrote reports of how everyone else under their management and oversight failed the American people.
McCain seems to simply want more of this and more failure.

If there's one thing guaranteed to make any situation worse, it's "increased congressional oversight."

Why not limit your resolution, Mr. Senator, to your actual powers?
File a bill to withrdaw funding for the war......or STFU.
