The key to our immigration mess is not amnesty. You're wrong on that one. By your logic, we shouldn't hunt down Islamic extremists because we have Mosques in America. Also, you think McCain can get elected? No way.

You may have just changed this thread in a hugh manner.
I'll try to keep clam as the møøse bites your sister. I suggest you guard your cheese. Also taking a shower helps, unless your beeber is in there with you, (that may get you stunned.)

Muslims are not the political fulcrum of America. Hispanics are. It's about numbers. An example....for many years Mormons were considered dangerous cultists. But as theirs number grew they became a constituency. Now...what was once a dangerous cult is now invited to Congressional prayer breakfasts and they have a candidate running for the presidency.
The reality of illegal immigration hung on one point. Was congress willing to make hiring an illegal immigrant a felony subject to imprisonment. If the answer was no then illegals would flood into the US to seek employment. If the answer was yes then no one would hire illegals and they would have no incentive to come. Congress decided no....Now you have 12-17 Million Illegals in the US and growing..

It's like coming into the clubhouse and not knowing the secret handshake Don't worry there are plenty of Alpha Freepers around to enlighten you.
Especially if they can do so at your expense.

Somebody owns FR?....I didn't know that. I figured it was a 501c3 thing. And the guy who owns it is a Keyester? Really?Free Republic, LLC is a non-commercial, limited liability company founded and operated by Jim Robinson, a private citizen of Fresno California. Free Republic is not a for profit commercial enterprise in the sense of a traditional business selling a product or service at a profit for its shareholders. We sell no product or service. We have no clients, customers or employees. We do not accept paid advertising. Free Republic is not affiliated with any political party, group, news source, government agency or anyone else.
And yes, Jim is a long time supporter of Alan and supported him over Bush in the '00 primaries.

I'm a libertarian and Rudy's stand on abortion sickens me. Please don't generalize.
I'm not. I didn't call him a "libertarian"...
True libertarians I can deal with. Liberal-tarians---forget it.

Lord...Now that is the most bankhanded ,sideslipping convoluted ad hominem ever...
It was not an ad hominem. You should re-read my post. It wasn't a personal attack on you specifically. But if you fall into that category, I can understand how you'd be offended.
As for Dostoevsky, I'd recommend that you read that one. And no, that's not an insult--it's a masterful novel.

I'm a strong supporter of Tom Tancredo, and fully hope to see him become a successful senator from Colorado someday. Unfortunately, after his remarks about Miami, he really doesn't have a shot at the White House in an era dominated by media soundbites.
