Once again, thank you.
I try to write like Norman Rockwell painted: with ruddy cheeks and forward facing foreheads; with laps so deep that children long to sleep; with smiles so wide as oceans' tides and the world outside as foreign as an unfriendly frown or a single plaintive cry.

what does that mean, "math regents?" And what does that have to do with you walking the hallways?

It's deep here on the east side of Anchorage.....the plows came about 1am, but they are pushing the snow to the side....now, on my street, it is one lane for most of it out to the crossroad. Then, on the route out of the neighborhood I take, it is one lane in several places and one must wait for buses, it is a bus route, and cars too, for one to pass in one direction, and then the other to go forward. At the signal for getting out on the main drag, what used to be two lanes, does not have room for 2 cars.
Because of all the snow, and being at the end of a cul-da-sac, and the pile in the middle being so wide (the plows need to spend some time shoving it into a taller, and less wide, pile) anything bigger than a car pretty much has to back out, as there are still inconsiderate folks who park on the street...all the way down the street.
Yesterday's mailbox...(yes, I know the date thingy is wrong)

And me in the kitchen lead the pack. LOL!! The egg casserole is supposed to bake for 50 minutes at 350 degrees. I did remember to get the hard boiled eggs off the stove at the right time. d:o)

Math Regents Exams. New York State has Regents Exams for all the major subjects. You have to pass 5 or more of them (in specific subjects) to get some kind of diploma or other.
The one this afternoon is a combination of the old Algebra and Geometry exams.
This time around, they don't want the math teachers proctoring the exams (conflict of interest? accidental helping? I don't know). So my job is to "monitor" the classrooms giving the exam, helping out with the administration stuff but not the test. Sounds like a waste of time, but they have to have everyone on staff doing something in an "official" capacity rather than, say, sitting around the teachers' room playing on the computer... oh, waitaminute...

Well, look on the bright side, Ma
Had you not remembered to get the hard boiled eggs off the stove at the right time, then you'd never have ruined the casserole! LOL
