Although I agree with the wife, I don't think it's a very smart strategy to insult the President publicly while he's considering the idea of pardoning her husband.

Agreed. She's telling her kids that the president is a liar... what is she going to say if he pardons them (which he will not).
I disagree. She needs to hit him right between the eyes with this for all the world to see. The world that matters (the illegals and the drug smugglers) have stood up and taken notice of President Bush's inaction in this case. He has known about this case since the beginning and those men should never have even seen the inside of that cell. Any delay by George Bush on this is criminal, pure and simple. He needs to stand up and defend these guys and call out anybody that dare criticize.
He's still the leader of this country. He ought to try acting like one.

I don't like his border policy but I also don't agree with her. That said....her timing IMO wasn't the best.
Why hold back. Why not critique GWB. If the jury was right GWB will not override the jury out of POLITICAL fears. If the jury was wrong GWB will not override the jury out of political fears.
I am very sorry however I voted for GWB twice. He is an arrogant SOB who is only doing what he wants to do regardless of what the world will think.

One may reasonably assume from her comments that she has been made aware that the President is no longer considering a pardon, and that his prior statement was just a smokescreen.
