I really see no reason for a pardon. They shot a fleeing man in the back. That is the act of a coward, but FReepers are treating these guys like heroes. I find it repugnant that our government went to such extreme lengths to secure his testimony, but that doesn't change the fact that border agents are NOT the military. They are just like cops, and should only use deadly force when their lives, or the life of an innocent bystander, are in imminent danger.
He did get shot in the back, but the rest of the story is based solely on the testimony of the "victim," who happens to be a drug smuggler. I guess it comes down to whether you think there is any reasonable doubt that might explain how this guy got shot in the back.
Which tehy believed they were, AS YOU VERY WELL KNOW. But don't let that get in the way of your Open Borders, pro-amnesty effort to smear these two Hispanic Americans. (I didn't think that sort of attitude was allowed at FR.)
You are wrong. All our lives are in imminent danger due to the influx of these illegal "immigrunts". He was breaking the law and was acting as if he was armed, besides he was shot in the left side buttock (a$$0 for you people in Rio Linda. I say the bad guy paid his nickle and took his chances.
Do y'all seriously not know the difference between the back and the butt?
'Cause the drug dealer got shot in the latter, not the former.
That this dirtbag got capped in the ass is excellent, and we should trumpet the fact.
Go here: http://www.wnd.com/news/article.asp?ARTICLE_ID=53873 to learn the facts in this case.
Quote from article:
"The U.S. Army doctor who removed the bullet testified at the trial that the drug smuggler was not shot from behind, but that he removed the bullet from the side, with the bullet piercing the left side of his left buttock and traveled to his right groin."
The more I read about this case, the worse it stinks.
Not only all you have said...but they cleaned up the scene and falsified their reports. Bad decisions all around.
Your version of the "facts" is based entirely on a thieving, lying, drug dealing scum. My version of the "facts" is based on sworn testimony of two officers of the law. Only discredited bots believe the drug dealer. And only enemies of America want the flood of illegals, crime and drugs to continue unabated view this prosecution and resulting harsh sentence as a good thing.
There are two camps in politics that completely perplex me:
Those that are so hateful of G. Bush that they will attack him and disagree with him to the point of endangering America. Just because he is George Bush.
And Those that are so beholden to G. Bush and the republicans that they will support him and defend him to the point of endangering America. Just because he is George Bush.
