Rudy Giuliani remains the most popular presidential hopeful for Republican Party supporters in the United States, according to a poll by TNS released by the Washington Post and ABC News. 34 per cent of respondents would support the former New York City mayor in a 2008 primary.

Arizona senator John McCain is second with 27 per cent, followed by former House of Representatives speaker Newt Gingrich and former Massachusetts governor Mitt Romney with nine per cent each.

Support is lower for former Wisconsin governor Tommy Thompson, former Arkansas governor Mike Huckabee, Kansas senator Sam Brownback, Colorado congressman Tom Tancredo, former Virginia governor Jim Gilmore, and Texas congressman Ron Paul.

I'll never vote for that bully, fornicating Rudy.

Oh really??? McCain is no angel when it comes to marriage either. And your idea of a bully is what?

OK now you've ticked me off. You have preempted the best comeback ever. I was going to reprimand you for your ignorance. But now it is all for naught.

You are herewith scratched from the list of Crusaders. My mistake (I make many).

Yeah, you can't have people who make sense on that ping list.

Well...in recompense I would like to announce that I am NOT forming an exploratory committee in preparation for a run at the nomination. My wife has every penny budgeted and I'm sure she would find out...

Not only was that 100% spot on, it was also among the more well reasoned, defended, and even keeled responses o this topic. Most people simply go apoplectic.

Waiting for some guy named Morty to declare....

Wait till the Third party guys show up with the orange fright wigs and big flat shoes..

Can't wait to see what new goofiness the Demoviets come up with...

He heh.

McVain.

That's the best one I've heard. Better than McLame or McInsane or the others.

LOL

I think I'll steal that - even though I have no problem voting for him if he wins the nod.

;-)

Why not bring back Bob Dole? I will not support these two for the sake of the Republican party.

The GOP is going to have to do better than Rudy Giuliani, or they are going to have to deal with defectors and a third party candidate. Hell, I'd even hold my nose and vote McCain - THAT tells you something.

I will not support McCain unless or until he openly repudiates the McCain-Feingold abomination.

Thankfully,

McCain/Feingold will likely be shot down by the new court.

Hear, hear! And not even then!

McVain has caused grievous harm to Bush's WOT in many ways as well. Since I consider national security the number one issue for any President, Rudy is clearly the best leader for our long-term WOT.
