Has any one ever done an in depth analysis of the CEO to worker pay, because their is something not quite right with that stat that they used to only make 20 times a common worker? The question is, what CEO's is the comparison based on? I've never worked for a boss who made 400 times what I do. Nor 100 times. Nor ten times. Nor even five times.
I suppose Webb may be right if you compared the Fortune 100 CEO's to the median income earner, but that's such a small number it's pretty meaningless.

Shoot . . around here they're building masses of huge mansion subdivisions as far as the eye can see. I know there are some depressed areas, but even in those places you don't see soup lines and any bums on the street except for mostly professional bums.

from what I understand, the war never ended and is ongoing to this day..what's in place is a truce.. Have any of the truces joined by the U.S. since 1776 lasted as long as the Korean one?

Yes, I, too, am still looking for all that "economic inequity". If Dims can't find a REAL problem (and they can't spot them, even when they're there, with both hands and a flashlight!), they just manufacture something. After having worked as a social worker for 6 years, believe me, most people would rather have A JOB instead of welfare!!
We don't have soup lines either, except for those who would rather be unemployed or are mentally ill. Everyone else is working! (If we have so many unemployed/underemployed Americans, why are Dims so determined to import cheap labor from South of the border?) I wondered how long it would take Dims to find all those "homeless" they're always looking for.
This Webb guy is just disgusting!! Is that just my opinion, or does anyone else find him so?

Yes it is and they require adjustment!

You are absolutely correct about Korea. Ike, regarding Korea, was a perfect example of the Peter Principle. He did a wonderful job during WWII, but in Korea, when the "buck stopped with him", he cratered---and we are still paying the price. As my Dad always said: The one time in his life that MacArthur was right, Ike didn't listen to him.

I hope that most of them do. I really used to like Webb. He was my contemporary in the Corps, although he went to the Naval Academy and I got my commission through NROTC. He truly was a hero, winner of the Navy Cross, but somewhere, something must have gone haywire.

Hey Jim, enjoy your 6 years in the Senate, because that's all you get. You only got these years because George Allen suffered from temporary insanity during the last campaign.

He started dropping acid! I work with Academy grads who absolutely despise both him and Murtha (Jabba the Hutt). They are derided as egomaniacs and gutless cowards.

As I look at Iraq, I recall the words of former general and soon-to-be President Dwight Eisenhower during the dark days of the Korean War, which had fallen into a bloody stalemate3,000 Americans died within the first 5 weeks of Truman's Korean "police action"
30,000 Americans died for Korean freedom within the 2 + years that Truman remained president.
In contrast 1/10 as many Americans have died in Iraq in 3+ years.
