European leftists know that the Catholic Church carries almost no weight today anywhere in Europe except in the East.IMO,the only legitimate option the Church has in the UK is to withdraw from the adoption "business".

the only legitimate option the Church has in the UK is to withdraw from the adoption "business". Since Vatican City is considered an independent state within a state (Italy); they should declare every Catholic Church everywhere to be an embassy or consulate and therefore "foreign" soil and not subject to contrary laws.
Just a thought.
