You have, quite obviously, never seen "Moment to Moment".
This will be your only warning!

I haven't a clue who a scientologist would call out to from the Cross."Don't worry, I'm not gonna do what you all think I'm gonna do, which is, you know, FLIP OUT! But if anybody else wants to come with me, this moment will be the ground floor of something real and fun and inspiring and true in this godforsaken business and we will do it together! Who's coming with me besides..."Flipper" here? Come on! Who's coming with me?"

Criticize if you must, but Star Ship Troopers was The Passion of Christ for crackpot religionists.

If what I just wrote made you sad or angry,
it was probably just a joke.

According to some Freepers, religion shouldn't matter at all. Tom might as well run for president.

So when do we nail him to a cross?

the fact that they condensed a not bad, 2,000 page scifi novel into a 2 hour movie didn't help. Not bad? NOT BAD??? I had heard a rumor that LRon was once a decent writer, and a contemporary of RAH, so I thought , why not? I read that thing thinking the whole time I had gotten past the worst and that it simply had to improve. Boy, was I wrong. That book made "Star Smashers of the Galaxy Rangers" look like "Moby Dick". Even as trashy pulp SciFi, it was bad beyond belief.

I don't care how much my fellow FReepers bash Tom Cruise. I like him! He may be a wackjob about spintology but, he is one of the hardest working actors I have ever seen.
Also, he is not strung out on drugs, bashing our president in foreign countries or running around in public without his underwear on. He is generally clean cut, well mannered, and doesn't get into pissing contests with other celebrities. You guys can dump on him all you like, but I like him (even if he is weird).
