Borgnine is looking better than poor old Jan-Michael Vincent these days.

He always has been one of my favorite actors. For some reason, Hollywood didn't seem to appreciate him. Why he wasn't nominated for an Oscar for "The Poseidon Adventure" I'll never understand. Best wishes, Ernest. I won't either he and Shelly were the best ones in that movie and Gene Hackman the one closing the steam valve. Ernie played his part very well in that movie.

I love Ernie - he's a good conservative and a great actor. I was friends with his son when I lived in LA and he's an awesome guy - daddy raised him well.

Strange nobody's mentioned "The Emperor of the North Pole"...it takes a great talent to out-bad-ass even Lee Marvin

He won an Oscar for Marty very early in his career so I would say he was appreciated.

Happy birthday Ernie. As I kid I loved Mc Hales Navy. Ernie is one of the few actors I remeber with great affection. I think it is that bigger than life attitude and that bellicous laugh. Kids would really warm to men like that.
God Bless Ya Ernie
