Dick Morris and Eileen McGann: Campaign that already looks over the Hillary
The Australian ^ | Jan 22, 2007 | Dick Morris and Eileen McGann

Posted on 01/22/2007 7:07:20 PM PST by jdm

PRESSURED by former Democratic vice-presidential candidate John Edwards's bold foray into her own back yard, when he challenged her silence over the war during a speech in New York City, the shrine of liberalism, and by Barack Obama's formation of an exploratory committee, Hillary Clinton has rushed to signal her intention to run for president.

She has told friends that she hadn't seen why she couldn't just wait until the fall of the year before the election, as her husband Bill had done, to announce. But she was so panicked by the Edwards and Obama initiatives that she announced her candidacy on a Saturday. That's the worst news day of the year and the Clintons usually reserve it for announcements concerning their scandals.

Will the role of Ned Lamont, the former Democratic senate candidate against Joe Lieberman last November, in the upcoming primary be played by Edwards while the role of Lieberman is shared by Clinton and, depending on how he votes, Obama? We all know how that primary turned out.

But the fact is that Clinton has not run in a real election in her life. She was just about unopposed for the Senate last year and drew wet-behind-the-ears former congressman Rick Lazio as her 2000 opponent rather than the heavyweight Rudy Giuliani. And Clinton has never run in a Democratic primary in her life.

Her inexperience and the age of her staff is showing. She and they appear at a loss to adjust to the fast-moving pace of modern politics. She particularly appears not to have grasped that 2007 is the new 2008. By the time the Iowa caucuses are held, the race for the nomination will be over, just as it was in 2004.

I'd say her major blunder is the use of this "listening tour" approach, while rolling out on the web. If one intends the web to be a one way mode of communication - it can be that. If she thinks she's fooling anyone with the idea of holding on-line chat sessions - her technological ignorance is showing. She would have no doubt set up a chat address and a moderator, acknowledged or not, would do some mighty heavy filtering of questions before they ever appeared to reach Hillary.

Ultimately, it will serve us well that Hillary! is running her campaign using Bills 1992 playbook.

For one thing, that playbook was only good for 42% of the vote. Barring the intervention of some nominally Republican eccentric self-financing billionaire entering the fray as an independent, 42% just will not be enough. All we have to do is convince Mike Bloomberg to stay out!

For another thing, Hillary! is not Bill. She lacks the ability to lie in a charming way. When Bill lied to you, you almost felt like you were inside his joke, because he was so glib and charming about it. Hillary! is the polar opposite of Bill in this regard. Whenever she lies, you will mightily resent it.

And, finally, that playbook is 16 years old. Things have changed a lot in sixteen years. What worked then will not work now.

But the old playbook has the smell of a winner, since Bill won with it way back when. It will be awfully hard for the Clintonistas to put it down. Particularly because it calls for early losses to be made up later.

Hillary! is going to have the early losses, sure enough. But she is not going to have the ability to pull herself out of the dive, and is going to crater on Super Tuesday.

Yeah. My question, "What makes you such a b!tch?", didn't make the cut. Go figure...

Won't one of her early losses be that she has to take the stand in the Peter Paul lawsuit? IIRC, the Beast and the Bubba at one point finagled a way out of taking the stand, but that was overturned and now they have to take the stand again.

Has anyone heard anything more about this?

HOW THE CLINTONS COLLAPSED STAN LEE MEDIA -- http://youtube.com/watch?v=LUWlxc7h5AI

The Appellate Court will decide soon whether Hillary comes back in as a defendant. In any case, the judge made it absolutely clear to David Kendall that she will be testifying. The media has largely ignored the Paul v Clinton case and her four fraudulent FEC reports. We are going to bury her.

DFU SONG: Total Eclipse of the Heart (Peter Paul will drive a stake in the vampire's heart)
DFU SONGS | 5-2005 | Lyrics, Doug from Upland

Posted on 05/28/2005 9:14:12 PM PDT by doug from upland

READ THE LAWSUIT AT HILLCAP.ORG

MIDI - TOTAL ECLIPSE OF THE HEART

Hillary is dangerous
She is very dangerous

(Be afraid)
Every day she's planning for that day that she will take the White House and her power back
(Be afraid)
Every day she calculates a new position and the next person she'll attack
(Be afraid)
Every day she works hard fooling voters that she is no Marxist
(Be afraid)
Every day she makes a clever move as she's getting just that much closer

Be afraid...people
Each and every day we're warning you
Be afraid...people
In 2008 we could be screwed

It will always seem like bad weather
Although the sun may be out
She's more dangerous than ever
Of that, you should not have a doubt

Is there a chance to stop Hillary?
Yes, there's just one that I see
If you're asking me, Doug, now what can be done?
Peter Paul will do his part
Legally he'll drive.......a stake in the vampire's heart

Hillary is dangerous

(Be afraid)
In the Oval Office she would use her power and who'd be there for restraining her?
(Be afraid)
In the Oval Office they'd bow to their queen and there would be no containing her
(Be afraid)
Every day she works hard fooling voters that she is no Marxist
(Be afraid)
Every day she makes a clever move as she's getting just that much closer

Be afraid...people
Each and every day we're warning you
Be afraid...people
In 2008 we could be screwed

It will always seem like bad weather
Although the sun may be out
She's more dangerous than ever
Of that, you should not have a doubt

Is there a chance to stop Hillary?
Yes, there's just one that I see
Every one of you could become Billy Dale
And she could set you up and this time not fail

And she would use her power like all tyrants do
There's no place to hide if she says she wants you
But Peter will do his part...a legal stake into her heart
Into that black heart

If you're asking me, Doug, now what can be done?
Peter Paul will do his part
Legally he'll drive.......a stake in the vampire's heart

If you're asking me, Doug, now what can be done?
Peter Paul will do his part
Legally he'll drive.......a stake in the vampire's heart
