Hahahahahaha. Good enough.
I was talking to some liberals about this tonight. It must be pretty bad because instead of defending the democrats, they blamed to republicans. They said "the neocons taught the democrats and now they don't know better".
LOL
"The Dems applaud the dirty one. They don't remove them"
While thier media allies Applaud thier "Veracity" in fighting the charges....
The Jefferson, reid and Obama are not in a jailcell at this moment utterly amazes me....
Yeah- the dems are back.
Also appointed - a Democrap- Mollohan - to chair a committee in charge of the budget for the Justice dept. although he is being investigated by Justice as well!
"Mollohan's financial disclosure statements also have come under scrutiny. His personal wealth ballooned from $550,000 in 2000 to $6.3 million in 2004."

That would be him .. Harry in a dress
LOL --- rant mail.
"Yet a corp CEO can lose it all with a felony at anytime..."
Ya know...I wonder when we the people get to demand the same transparency of Congress that Congress expects of business.....
"We the people" won't ever get the chance.
I'm certain that the authors/framers of our Constitution/Bill of Rights, were they to re-appear today, would add the following clause (or something close)...
"Congress shall make NO law which shall be binding upon the people unless that same law shall be binding upon the Congress equally."
As far-sighted as they were, I'm certain that the Jeffersons, Franklins, etc, had NO idea of the license of corruption that was being handed to future generations by allowing the Congress to exempt itself from the oversight(s) they place on us.
I'm also certain that they (the Original Framers) never forsaw the arrival of the "Professional Politician"; that folks would go to Congress for a few years, then return to their own farms and businesses.
Politicians today really are the "New Aristocracy" and have a vested interest in making "Rules for Thee, but not for Me".
Nancy's Out-House.
If they don't take on Nancy's Burglar Escape Window they should just resign.
You fooled me. I clicked and heard those ever-vigilant Bay State crickets.
Mother Pelosi only meant she would clean the swamp of Republicans.
Is there a way to challenge this in court as a corollary of the prohibition against felons serving in the Congress? Don't we all have standing?
I hope FReepers are writing to their local newspapers complaining about how the Dems are suspending the rules that they crowed so much about passing. Legislation being presented handwritten on NAPKINS is hardly very professional...if they can't do the job right, they should resign. Now they are trying to push things through without allowing the Republicans a chance to read the legislation before votes (which providing loopholes for their corrupt colleagues)..how wonderfully "democratic" of them!
I'd love to hear if anyone sees a newspaper that reports the napkin shenanigan--or the proposed Jan 2, 2009, start date--when they report on the passage of H.R. 476--please ping or FReepmail me.
Example of the fun (note the evasiveness of Congressman McGovern, the Speaker pro tempore):
Mr. KIRK: Parliamentary inquiry.
The SPEAKER pro tempore: The gentleman from Illinois will please state his parliamentary inquiry.
Mr. KIRK: Mr. Speaker, with regard to the amendment in the final form of this bill, my understanding is we are now dealing with a handwritten piece of paper on a napkin?
The SPEAKER pro tempore: The bill, as amended, is at the desk.
Mr. KIRK: Is anything typed and shared with the minority?
The SPEAKER pro tempore: The engrossing Clerk has the official paper at the desk.
Mr. KIRK: Which is handwritten.
The SPEAKER pro tempore: The gentleman may examine the copy at the desk for himself.
Mr. KIRK: I will take that as a yes.
Ain't a thing we can do to stop them .. we are in the minorty
All part of the lesson we are to learn
I clicked on the link...and nothing came up.
I'll try to find a better way to host it.
