And I would also love to hear Democratic leaders respond to these poll numbers.

How about hearing from the Republicans?

The Democrats have been on the WRONG side of every national defense issue since the Civil War. Its a fact. Look it up!

Actually, I thought 34% of Democrats wanting to see failure was probably a little low. Case of people giving the pollsters the answer they think the pollsters want?

Democrats are mostly self-centered scum. This poll just shows the obvious.

Republicans are giving Dems a pass, and should not be.

Every Republican needs to pound on this subject, every time they're in front of any TV camera or reporter.

Democrats want America to LOSE.

Say so. Don't be shy about it. Don't give them a pass.

It needs to be said. And said again. Democrats want America to lose.

Anyone wanting the US to lose is a traitor. This means they would rather see radical Islam win this war on terror. They are contemptible scum.

They hate Bush so bad that they'll take an international failure (a peice of American realestate) and roll in the short-term gain of the profit of power.

Gotta love socialist politicians, they'll do anything for power or sex.

Do you personally want the Iraq plan President Bush announced last week to succeed?

Here are the results:

Overall: 63% Yes 22% No 15% Don’t Know

Actually, I am glad to see that 63% want it to succeed....that is not the impression the DBM and the rats have implied all last week....

Actually, I think it's low. Every democrat that I know and have talked to about the war wants the US to lose and be humiliated. Their hatred for the country that we love is overwhelming.

I think perhaps it's just a poor interpretation of the question that got these results. If people are unfamiliar with the new plan, or are otherwise in that "oppose all wars" camp then they might come up with such a stupid or knee jerk answer to the question.

Anyone who wants the US to fail in Iraq is sick in the head. That is different, of course, from wanting to wind down the operations. Of course, I personally think we have to finish what we started to the best of our abilities before leaving.

The DemonRATs don't want "their money" spent on the military. That money is for building and consolidating their power. This is why they hate Israel. The money we send to Israel is coveted by the socialist left. They would have no problem if Israel ceased to exist. One less problem in the world and more money for them. The typical liberal thinks that the United States has enough of its own problems to be trying to fix the problems of the rest of the world. They are selfish. Forget trying to remind them that the poorest of our poor live better than those in entire countries. Forget telling them that the United States, being the richest country on earth, has an obligation to the rest of the world. Part of the socialist left's problem is they reject Christianity which works to change our selfish nature. Forget telling them that no man is an island and that the bell that tolls for their fellow man may soon toll for them.

I would love to hear why losing in Iraq would be in the national interest.

OK. I'm putting on my moonbat hat here. These opinions are not mine, but I have heard them voiced by others.

IT IS IN THE NATIONAL INTEREST TO LOSE IN IRAQ BECAUSE:

1. ...We are going to lose no matter what. The best possible result is to lose quickly, rather than drawing it out. We are going to lose inevitably, so why waste a lot of blood and treasure putting off the day of our defeat?

2. ...A victory in Iraq will embolden the pro-war advocates in our society and will result in future wars that could be avoided if we followed an enlightened anti-war strategy.

3. ...George Bush (never President Bush, mind you) is so dangerous to our country that he cannot be allowed a victory, because he would use that victory to consolidate power and destroy our democracy. Some people say (to use the Katie Couric formulation) that George Bush does not intend to leave office in 2009, and public goodwill over a victory in Iraq will allow him to remain in office after his term expires.

I am taking off my moonbat hat, and am going to go take a shower now.

49% of Democrats either want us to lose in Iraq or “don’t know” if they want us to succeed.

I would love to hear why losing in Iraq would be in the national interest. And I would love to hear the humanitarian justification for leaving Baghdad’s civilians to the tender mercies of the murderous militias and terrorists that stalk that city.

They're liberals......that's all you have to know.

Oops. Forgot one...

IT IS IN THE NATIONAL INTEREST TO LOSE IN IRAQ BECAUSE:

... A US victory in Iraq will infuriate the Islamic World and will result in renewed and more violent attacks on the US. However a US defeat will lead to our withdrawl from the region, so we will no longer be an irritant to them. Once we have tucked our tails and run from the Middle East, they will no longer be mad at us and leave us alone.

OK. I'm really taking that moonbat hat off now, and I'm putting it away in a drawer. Bad hat! BAD HAT!!!

OK. Just one more...

IT IS IN THE NATIONAL INTEREST TO LOSE IN IRAQ BECAUSE:

... A US defeat will guarantee a Democrat President and further Democrat gains in Congress in 2008. Enlightened and steady Democrat leadership will be able to quickly repair any damage left by a US defeat, and will lead to a bright future with fluffy bunnies, budget surpluses, and Kumbaya for all!

OK. Now I really have to cut this out. I'm not sure I can turn it off anymore!
